Absolutely the worst service

So I was really hungry I was looking for a place to order food from, my family member told me to go the Blue Colada. Their food is really good nice place and so on. I went on December 31st so I called ahead of time to order my food she said 15-20 minutes. The lady on the phone was coughing badly over the phone. I got there 10 minutes after the call and surprisingly it wasn't that busy when I walked in. I wasn't even approached for the first 10 minutes I was there. I had to ask for attention when I asked regarding my order they told me 10 minutes I waited patiently .10 minutes later I asked a girl that was coughing in her hands which I assumed it was the same girl I was talking to over the phone because she had Bad Manners not saying excuse me as she coughs again she told me my food is coming in 10 minutes I asked to speak to the manager the coughing girl came back to tell me that the manager it's not there and the person she was talking to was in the office doing some work. I said ok. I told her that I've been waiting a long time and this is unacceptable if I pre called my order. She said I think it was me you were talking to over the phone and I'm sure I told you 20- 30 minutes. Anybody who knows me knows if that lady had said that to me I would not be waiting 20-30 minutes for a place I have never been to. I don't even know if it's worth the wait. Then she offered to refund me back my money I said wow that was quick you're so quick to refund me back my money instead of rectifying the fact that I'm waiting she more wanted to get rid of me. I said your food must not be that good it doesn't speak for itself she just stood there looking at me. I don't know if this girl was too sick to care or she's new and doesn't know what she's doing but she was very horrible at her job as I mentioned to her. Now I'm empathetic to people who are new on the job because I know what it's like but that's only if you let me know that you're new. My husband and I decided to dine at Blue Colada for the first time on a brutally cold Friday in February. Our waitress, Seneca , whom I had already spoken to over the phone prior to coming in, was so warm and friendly took our order : 1 shrimp wonton soup , 1 shrimp curry ( they didn't have my favorite duck curry) 1 chicken curry and 1 vegetable fried rice . They had no roti , no dahl pourri and we are not fans of plain white rice, hence the veggie fried rice . I asked for a hot beverage , maybe tea or coffee due to the bitter cold minus 30 degree temperature outside , but they had no hot beverage option on the menu.

Seneca arrived at our table a few minutes later with both of our curry dishes and my husband began eating his immediately without the rice. I set my shrimp curry aside to wait on the rice , however , Seneca came out with my soup, no rice Why serve soup with the main course ? I was not happy , especially because I polished off my soup , my husband finished his curry and the fried rice still didn't arrive. After conveying our displeasure to Seneca with the haphazard way in which our food arrived , she was very apologetic. The manager arrived with a massive plate of veggie fried rice 20 minutes later and I ate it with a cold bowl of shrimp curry. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, it was an awful experience. Note to the owner's : Invest in improving the rum shop esthetic , your space is huge , but you have done ZERO to decorate it to show that you value your customers , it's a dive. It would be nice of you to turn on the heat and so we don't have to keep our winter coats on during our meal.

Lastly read , research and perhaps take a course in RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT. Soup comes before mains and mains should arrive on the table at THE SAME DAMN TIME!!!!

Worst service EVER. I am horrified by how the workers were so unprofessional and slow. I hosted a birthday party for my daughter with expectations that the food would be catered to specific time of 7pm. I also called in advance to remind them of my order and the time. On the day of, I sent some family members to go pick up the order and the food was not ready, they waited over an hour and they didn't even make the right dish. The person that was in correspondence with my family member kept beating around the bush and won't come out with the orders and would not explain why they had to wait so long. There was no empathy, or apologies for the long wait and the fact that they had the wrong dish brought out. They kept hiding in the back and wouldn't come out to let us know what was going on. The food was for iftar/breaking fast for my family. So imagine I have over 100 people at the venue waiting to break fast with the food that should have been there over an hour ago. I am humiliated that I chose Blue Colada for the first time and to have such an awful experience. They tried to over charge us after multiple time of confirming the order and the price. The food wasn't that great. If your looking for catering, don't bother WASTE of FREAKING TIME. Also if I could have given them NO Star...
