Fine Taste Hakka Restaurant — Restaurant in Brampton

Wednesday September 7th , 2022. I was craving Guyanese curry , big time . There are very few Guyanese restaurants in Brampton, however, a friend reccomended that hubby and I try Fine Taste. I ordered the goat and he had the chicken. As we're sitting there salivating while anticipating how delicious our Guyanese curries will taste , the curries arrive. The globs of mess in both of our plates look yellow ...that should have been our first clue that we were in for a terrible experience. My goat curry had huge monstrous pieces of tough as nails goat and hubby couldn't find chicken in his curry , pure potatoes! To say that our meals lacked flavor would be a massive understatement. Absolutely no garlic, no geera , no thyme, nothing ...only tumeric, curry powder and they sprinkled some chopped shallots on top to give the illusion that this DOG FOOD had flavor.

What a waste of money . It will be a cold day in hell before I go back to this place. #worstcurryever

Skipped the dishes today to satisfy my gluttony for the asian food today 🍝

When it comes to trying Asian food, I am very careful about the place selection, the taste, quality and the kind of meat being used. Recently I came across some very good reviews for the Fine Taste Hakka Restaurant and I must say it has been a delightful experience with them. Since I was ordering from them the first time, I decided to stick to 2 dishes first and then keep my exploration for the next one.

🔹 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙚 🥡 (made is extra spicy) Loved the combination of spices, veggies with the fried rice. The chicken was moist and full marks to the extra 🌶 🌶

🔹𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗽 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗲𝗶𝗻 🍜 The best part of chow mein was its noodles, they were extra soft and so fluffy that it just melts in your mouth. The Shrimps were cooked perfectly and they had the right amount of spices as I had advised.

Very great place to get Hakka West Indian Chinese food. The jumbo shrimp and lobster sauce is delicious and so is the ginger chicken and vegetable noodle soup!.

Don’t listen to the recent reviewer about the place being unhygienic and fruit flies all over the place, we were there when this couple was in the restaurant, they are huge complainers!. They complained non stop to the lady about the dine in service charge. They won’t get tips at this type of place that you pay up front for so of course they have this mandatory fee. Also, there are some fruit flies, but that happens sometimes at places and it’s not unhygienic at all.

The lady is very friendly unless you want to complain non stop to her about a cheap dine in fee and not accept her answer!. This couple wouldn’t let it go and then went on about fruit flies to try and get the dine in fee waived!.
