Railway Chai & Snack House Kennedy & Queen — Restaurant in Brampton

Came here since my colleagues recommended me this simple takeout “chai shop” that does chai and simple Indian snacks, with the theme of an Indian railway station’s tea stop.

Prices here seem very reasonable, unlike many of the new “trendy” cafe places these days.

I was served by Rattandeep Kaur, who did a good job in recommending me the aloo patty and the paneer bread roll, which were what I ended up enjoying. She was also very patient in guiding me through the menu as someone unfamiliar with the snacks offered here since I am not from India.

The masala chai here was done with gur (jaggery), not overly sweet yet still retaining the flavours from the elaichi (cardamom). Paneer breadroll comes stuffed with other veggies too, while the aloo patty was no way stinged with it overwhelmed by the pastry dough.

I will definitely make this as my go-to chai pit stop whenever I’m driving past the Kennedy & Queen intersection...
