I have brought it to the attention that this employee smokes right outside their door. I have been here twice more since making this complaint and yet nothing has changed. I would like nothing more than to put my star rating back to a 5. But until this is sorted out, it will remain a 2 and prevent me from coming back for now. 😒 Holy YUM!!! Once a week for this guy! Twice sometimes! Lunch at 520 is a necessary fix for me. The selection and taste is second to none. There is always lots of parking right by the restaurant and if you are there for lunch, you’ll be seated and ordering within mins. The service is always with a smile and FAST! Come for dinner and you may have to wait 20-30 min, just like anywhere else. Worth the wait though. The restaurant area is always super clean and soft music in the background. Very clean bathrooms and the smell is abnormally pleasant. I know their secret though!!! Well placed air fresheners. Lol. The food is to die for and I know they must roll their eyes when I come.(I eat a LOT) My favourites are Chicken teriyaki on a stick, chicken cutlets, the tempura vegetables and they have quite possibly the best edamame I have ever eaten in my life. After my belly is almost full, I moved to a couple scoops of ice cream and deep fried bananas with chocolate sauce. Can someone grab me a bed! I’m ready for a nap!!! LMAO

They had an excellent atmosphere with decent decor. We opted for the green tea and that was a nice refreshing touch. We tried a bunch of options like Miso soup, Crab sushi, Mackerel sushi, Unagi Sushi, stir fried noodles, deep fried California rolls, Prawn tempura, Salmon belly tempura, seaweed salad, spring rolls, Pork cutlet, deep fried banana slices in chocolate, green tea ice cream and red bean ice cream. The Miso soup, cutlet, edamame, salmon belly, seaweed salad and the Udon noodles are extremely good. However we wouldn’t recommend the deep fried California rolls, they come with a stuffing of avocado, crab and cucumber and did not go together at all. Honestly, the sushi could have been a bit more fresh and the nori( sea weed wrap) used in it felt old and chewy. The green tea icecream was better than the red bean one. All in all, the lunch menu is still decent at $25 a person and they offer a nice beverage menu with tea, soda, beers, Sake and wine.

Probably the worst I’ve had. The rice looks like it’s the scrapings from bottom of rice cooker. So gummy it’s not good at all. The spicy maki rolls are made with Panko NOT tempura bits. Ummmm bread crumbs are dry so when you swallow a piece between the rice pot scraps sticking and uncooked Panko I it balls up into one lump. I was close to choking on a salmon maki. (If only I had a cup a tea to help force it down) The mushroom tempura are absolutely rotted black mushrooms. Gross! The salmon is definitely not fresh. It’s fishy and glowing with slimy old moisture. Maybe I’ll get a cup of tea while I’m still waiting for one of the four servers chatting by kitchen. Sitting in booth closest to the social server bar next to kitchen. Not once did any ask if we needed anything. Had to flag them down and told to hold on. Whoever rated this place best in Brampton is delusional. Probably worst in Ontario.

Update as of October 19 Dropping my review to 1* for an AYCE Lunch Buffet on a Tuesday (23.99 as of this date)

The Good: The hostess was friendly and amiable.

The Bad: Flying Fish Egg Salad - the dressing is nothing more than standard mayonaise and a touch of sesame oil. No miso, no ginger, very bland.

Service - Of the three servers we had: One did not speak English One barely spoke English

Sushi (Nigiri) - Rice vs Fish ratio is not good. Too much rice for the portions of fish

The Ugly:

Tempura Shrimp - We complained about the Tempura Shrimp not being cooked as it was translucent/transparent and tasted raw. According to one of the only English speaking staff members, the owner of the restaurant uses a "pre-cooked" shrimp that when cooked still appears translucent. Not white as per regular shrimp. However; it still tasted flimsy, raw and very salty (sadly, I swallowed the piece prior to realizing it). AVOID at all costs!!!

White Tuna Fish (Butterfish) - Now I know why they say don't visit an AYCE Sushi Restaurant on a Monday-Wednesday. The Fish tasted extremely fishy (old and bad) and the nasal sensation when chewing was one that produced pure nausea. Unfortunately, being as hungry as we were, I swallowed the first piece until I realized something was wrong. I put a second piece in my mouth to analyze the taste and the smell which was just HORRIBLE. I tried to tell one of our servers and the response was: "No English" and she walked away. I spat out the piece and did not eat the remaining 4 pieces.

The Worst:

After about 20 mins, I got ill from what I suspect that piece of sushi. So I after purging my system of the bad piece of fish (or possible the shrimp tempura piece I ate); to add insult to injury - after washing my hands, the ratio to lever depression for paper towels was set to an absolute ratio. In order to get a 2" long paper towel, I had to pull the lever down 30 times (check the pics). There's cheaping out on the food, but cheaping out on paper towels? Really?

Conclusion: I will not be coming here, nor ordering for the indefinite future. However, if you do; please post a review of your experience as I'd like to see if they get better. May 2021 It was ok. During the time of covid, of course we had to have take out/pick-up/delivery, so we ordered a family platter.

The sushi was fairly good but my only gripe is that the sashimi were more along the lines of sushi cuts and were very small and thin by comparison.

The platter wasn't bad, but wouldn't be my first choice going forward. It was our first time trying it just to be different. But am glad we...

Worst experience ever! So i went there at 9 pm since it closes at 10 I fugured why not it's my first timw by the way. I go in and the lady at the counter asked me If it was my first time here and I said yes, dhe then said "oh then you can't have the all you can eat menu" I asked why but she talked so fast that I could not understand... Then she asked if i want the regular menu so I say well might as well. When I order I asked for the 62 sushi platter. The waitress asked me 3 times if i was sure i wanned that (im with a friend btw i wans not alone) then when she finally took my order to the back they came back with 24 sushi but no sauces no wasabi no ginger ... Nothing... So i asked a waitress if i could have some sauce she said ok ... Ten minutes pass and we still dont have sauces ao i ask again they say ok... 10 more minutes still no sauces ... I ask again and they semd another waitress with i ask for sauces ... Again. She apologises because i asked why dis i have to ask 4 times she said because they are about to close in an hour... I say but its still not a reason first the all u can eat menu now this ... I've asked to speak eith the manager and she refused to come to our table so I had to go to her and complain ... She then acted like she did not know what i was talking about ... Anyways i tell her we ate 4 sushi out of the 62 and i did not like the service at all that i did not want the rest and i just wanned to leave and pay for the food I ate... Dhe refused ... Then I told her we would have to deal with cops then she refused to call them... So i said you know what i just paid for the meal and asked for her name and the waitresses names she refused 3 times to give me her name so after the fourth she finally told me and i said i was going to write a bad review she just gave me the card and laughed! It is my first and LAST time there at this...

The selection was average and the food was good. The ipad ordering system isn't great as most items don't have a description. The ambience is generic modern but the paper cranes were a nice touch. There's lots of wait staff but not enough chefs. Things get cleared quickly but food takes a while to be brought out.

My main issue is that they are anal! We're asked for a booth and were told that they can't seat people in the last booth. We asked about the 6 empty booths on the third row of seats and were told no again.

We asked for ice cream and were told that you could only order dessert at the end of the meal.

Also half of our order (the most expensive items on the list) was 'lost'. We had to manually (with paper) order them again and still only received half.

They also really slow down orders. We waited for 10 minutes between orders with no food left even though we ordered the second batch just after the first was delivered to avoid the wait.

I am not coming back.

I'm reducing by a star because I got berated for 10 minutes while a waitress explained to me that "everyone else here is eating all their food" since there was some food left on my table and I was asking her to check on an order for a red dragon roll that we had been waiting for for 1.5 HOURS. I tried to explain to her that I am still eating and she kept looking at the roll and a half left on the table and saying again that we had to finish our food and basically refusing to bring out more food until the table...
