Well if you're looking for an authentic taste of India come to this place, we drove for 45 mins from Scarborough. Great food! Great price! Great service!!! Get the chicken momo dumplings and chicken pakora for the starters . For the main we ordered the Whole tandoor chicken, butter chicken, chicken korma and the hakka chicken noodles. With butter naan, garlic naan and another bread that I've completely forgotten the name of.
Depending on your tolerance for spice either go mild or medium, and for those who can handle the heat go for "hot".
On a side note make if you are preparing to feast on Indian food make your self a mango lasi drink to cool down after, here are the ingredients: ( this is enough for 6 people)
1 can of 800 grams mango pulp/puree 1 tub of natural yogurt 750-800grams 1/4 -1/2 cup of sugar 1/2 of water -1/4 of milk
Steps:
Food tastes nice but sometimes they mess up pretty badly Once I order fry Momo. They fried it too much that it was as hard as rock and once they gave butter chicken gravy with soup momos . They messed up my thali once pretty badly . They are sometimes very careless in what they serve. Some Receptionist and food server are good but some have a very big attitude. They should really learn how to behave with customer and listen what customers say. Didn't like the owner and hated when they charged for small sauce. I was a regular customer. I used to order momos and other foods in a regular basis but when they said that it costs extra money for a small piece of dipping sauces to a regular customer who eats and orders regularly. I mean common man, is that how you treat your regular customer. The owner says you know 1 tomato cost 1$😂😂Crazy. I am never ordering from this regular restaurant. This restaurant is losing their regular customers. They should really learn small small things and should really learn how to maximize big profits by making more customers instead of running for small things like sauce...
Read moreI had a hankering for some Indo/Asian food so I did a quick Google search and found Indian Curry Express just around the corner from where I had a meeting near downtown Brampton. I went in mid-afternoon, a typically quiet time to have a late lunch. I ordered some tandoori seasoned chicken pakora as a starter, and then chicken lababdar (a nice change from sweet butter chicken) as my main served with rice and garlic naan. I wasn't expecting much more than just some decent food - boy, was I wrong - the food here is truly fantastic, fresh and flavourful without being overly spicy!! Decor is nice, and the staff very courteous. Since it was quiet, I actually had an opportunity to speak with the owner, who was very kind and friendly. My server, Afreen (I believe that is her name), was extremely helpful in suggesting dishes, and was actually quite a joy! :-) And no, this is not a paid review! LOL I don't usually do online reviews, just felt compelled to share my positive experience as this is a quality place serving quality food! I'll definitely come back next time I'm...
