Garden Square — Attraction in Mississauga

Sat among the stars \ in the light of the big screen, \ brings us together . Garden Square . HaikuPrajna . The Brampton Library hosted another of their annual Local Authors Showcases in the Garden Square! We sat downtown underneath the big screen just outside of the Rose Theatre next to patio of The Works. Dozens of authors were given the opportunity to share their works with the public. Met many authors and readers, and even saw a number of familiar faces. We have come to the Garden Square for a number of events, including their Movies Under The Stars, next to their Walk Of Fame no less, and New Years Eve events such as their Simple Plan concert; one of the highlights of the city for sure! . I love Brampton and I love all the activities that are happening in our city. It is good for the different cultures to mingle and get to know each other. I especially love the East Coast Kitchen Party. I think it would be nice to have an Italian or Greek event, etc. also there is a shortage of chairs. Perhaps they could provide fold up chairs to use or rent and monies given to a charity or Brampton shelter. I visited the Square during the World Cup finals and was very impressed with this community space. It was showing the finals of the World Cup and therefore large lawn chairs laid out for everyone to look at the screen and behind that were tables with umbrellas to shield the audience from the sun. The square was very clean and very inviting and I would definitely recommend everyone drop by when visiting Brampton.I really like how there are also security and the area to make sure that everyone was safe.
