Great piece of greenery downtown Brampton. A place to sit and relax when you have a moment to ponder. We seem to have very little time for that.
I've known this park since I was in kindergarten. I came to this place when they had a water fountain. Sadly that doesn't exist anymore. Times change and so does the behaviour of the downtown core. Individuals that are down on their luck tend to use this park. As they should as it's part of our city however some cause problems and it destroys others tranquility. This park was donated by an individual by the name of Gage. The first name is drawing blank at the moment please forgive me but his last will and testament was that the City of Brampton have this plot. For an individual like myself who has lived in this city 42 years is glad to have this spot. I just wish that there's other individuals who are in negative predicament could be a little courteous to others that they can enjoy this spot. After all they come to place too and should share what this place has to offer. In 1988 this park was adjusted and it is used as a skating rink that we have to this present day. The gazebo in the park at the bottom was Where the washrooms were originnally. Now that is where everything is to create the ice rink in the winter. Take a moment to drop by.
