It's an Irish pub I went in with friends who had drinks but I was after only a bite (in uniform). Now you never see an Irish restaurant - simply Irish are not great cooks. Great hosts, Great drinkers, great providers of the juice of God's but not great forget great simply not cooks. But here at Maguire's my Irish stew (my favorite meal) was to die for. Very good um um. My love of Mcguire goes back to my mis-spent youth. In Montreal i was been chased up an outside spiral staircase by a stronger older Leonard - once on the 3rd floor I'd simply jump and be away. But to my surprise I heard foot steps behind Leonard - thinking he had help, I waited until they were very close before I'd jump. While up on the rail ready to leap, I suddenly saw Leonard being grabbed by the seat and collar and tossed through the balcony window and venitian blinds and all the glass. Over the screams of the lady inside, I heard Paddy McGuire shout, 'don't jump Frank, you can walk down'. Paddy, older stronger, than all of us was from my side of town. So I owe the Maguire's of the...
Read moreI have loved coming here over the last few months, amazing customers, service, and loved Kareoke night.
Unfortunately I will never come back again. Since walking in the bar the Bartender Synthia was very rude and disrespectful. Witnesses saw how she threw the coaster towards my direction without putting it down.
She had a condescending and demeaning tone as the payment device had no network signal. She had grace and patience with other customers. But when we paid her cash I handed it to her and then I had my hand out to receive the change and she placed it on the table instead of my hand.
Another bartender came over to say last call. I asked again what time does the bar close as I only had 1 drink and 1 shot. She said we were cut off and no longer being served as I said to her why didn't you place the change in my hand.
This is why customer service is dead and felt like a targeted incident by THIS specific bartender and not the actions of the business, as I've enjoyed this at my...
Read moreI came into this establishment to have a drink, the older waitress with glasses and white hair came up to us with an complete attitude, for no reason.. I was puzzled so I said excuse me. Then she said you have a problem. My friend said no and asked if we can get a drink, she said okay. Then another waitress arrived with our drinks and the bill, and said they're not going to be serving us. My friend asked her why she said because I have an attitude "Really" we haven't even took off our coat and relaxed and we're getting all of this. I told my friend not to worry about it, The bottom line is we were not welcome the moment we walked in. Everyone in there was white and the look on the older waitresses face she wasn't having it. This racist bunch needs to get it through there thick skull this is Canada, a multicultural country ..if you don't like it go somewhere else with that low life attitude. Take off your glasses Grandma we ain't going NOWHERE...
