This place should be called pita corner, not shawarma corner. I walk in and start to feel a bit apprehensive right away. I don't see separate holding containers for lettuce and tomatoes, instead they are combined together, along with cucumbers, in an oily italian-style dressing. The hummus looks thin and watery, like instant packet hummus. I ask for hot sauce, they only have a creamy garlic hot sauce? Or you can have banana peppers and jalapenos??? I ask for parsley, no parsley. I ask for tahini, no tahini. The owner (I assume) hears some of my questions, then blames the worker for being a new guy. I told him it's not the worker, but why does a shawarma place not have regular hot sauce, parsley, or tahini, some of the most basic shawarma condiments? He turns his head in disdain and walks away. I almost cancelled my order right there, but I was curious about how it would taste. A lot of reviews state they give big portions, but I would rather have a little less and not have my shawarma explode into a salad in my hands. Never going back. If you are looking for shawarma, this is not the place. A generic pita place? Maybe then you will...
Read moreI've eaten here for lunch 3 to 5 times a week since it changed from Shawarma Boyz to Shawarma Corner. I have 2 issues with this place. 1 is the older gentleman with white hair and the older woman. They give you way too much rice and salad, enough for 2 or 3 people, then rip you off with the chicken. I orderd without rice and potatoes, just salad and chicken. What I got was about 80% salad and a little line of chicken against the side of the container. $11.50 is a lot to ask for some lettuce, tomato and cucumber mixed together and a handful of chicken. 2 is the quality of the chicken. Going as often as I do, I know when their chicken is fresh. Once or twice a week it will be fresh, the rest of the time who knows how many days old the chicken is but you can tell the difference. I don't know if I'll be back unless they get more consistent and fair with the portioning at the very least. Side note they were understaffed with just the 2 older guys working/serving there during...
Read moreFirst and foremost I don’t like giving companies or people a bad name, but this has to be done because of my health.. First time eating here I made it home in about 15 minutes and automatically started feeling symptoms of food poisoning slowly.. I thought maybe I felt unwell because I work at a bar and it may have been covid. Nope. I don’t have symptoms of covid but I have symptoms of food poisoning. After I came home I showered and fell very ill.. I keep throwing up and I have the most unbearable stomach pain that I’ve ever felt. I’m dizzy and I’m sweating buckets. It feels like my intestines are ripping out of my body.. My mother was not pleased with the taste of the food either and she’s experiencing symptoms as well. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN IMMEDIATELY.
I’m on my 11’th day of food poisoning I have not gotten better and experiencing breathing problems.
IM WARNING EVERYONE DO...
