Radica’s Hot & Spicy, located at 263 Queen St E Unit#3 in Brampton, Ontario, is a popular destination for those seeking authentic West Indian cuisine. The restaurant offers a diverse menu that includes traditional dishes such as doubles, roti, curry goat, and Hakka-style offerings. Patrons have praised the establishment for its flavorful food and inviting atmosphere.

Many customers have highlighted the exceptional service provided by the staff. For instance, a reviewer named Ishani noted the cleanliness of the place and the outstanding assistance from Rhea, who went above and beyond to help locate a misplaced jacket and wallet. Similarly, Eddy appreciated the quick and friendly service, mentioning Ria as a standout server who enhances the dining experience.

The ambiance of Radica’s Hot & Spicy has also been commended. Grainger described it as a “nice clean place” with Soca music playing, providing an authentic Trinidadian experience. The establishment is noted for being spacious, making it suitable for family gatherings and larger parties.

However, some patrons have reported inconsistencies in service. For example, Michelle shared an experience where they waited 20 minutes without being attended to, leading them to leave without dining. Additionally, while the food generally receives high praise, there have been occasional remarks about certain dishes not meeting expectations. Asha D mentioned that the Singapore noodles were rubbery and contained an excessive amount of onions, which was disappointing compared to previous visits.

Overall, Radica’s Hot & Spicy is celebrated for its authentic and flavorful West Indian dishes, friendly staff, and vibrant atmosphere. While there have been occasional lapses in service and food quality, the majority of reviews reflect positive dining experiences, making it a noteworthy spot for Caribbean cuisine enthusiasts...

IF THERE WAS AN OPTION FOR RATING IN MINUS, I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THAT.

My husband and I recently visited Radica's Hot and Spicy, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. We ordered two simple dishes – Veg Fried Rice and Veg Chowmein – and were thoroughly disappointed with both.

Let's start with the Veg Fried Rice. To say that it lacked freshness would be an understatement. The rice was not only burnt but also stuck together like gum. Surprisingly, my husband remarked that even my homemade fried rice, made with minimal culinary knowledge, surpassed the quality of what we were served. The absence of veggies, except for oversized broccoli chunks, further dampened our dining experience.

Moving on to the Veg Chowmein, being from Delhi, I have high expectations for this classic dish. Regrettably, this version was the worst I have ever tasted. The noodles appeared old, drenched in excessive oil, which was quite evident as it sparkled under the light. The low-quality, thick oil used for both the fried rice and chowmein suggested that it had been used for multiple fryings. Once again, the dish lacked variety, featuring only large broccoli chunks with no other veggies.

Adding to our disappointment was the woeful customer service. With just one lady managing the counter, she handled orders and served dishes. Our food took a whopping 45 minutes to reach our table, despite we being the only customers in that whole restaurant at that moment.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend Radica's Hot and Spicy to anyone, not even my worst enemies. The Google rating is misleading, and I strongly suspect it has been altered. Save your money and avoid this place at all costs. The subpar quality of the food and the dismal customer service make it an establishment not even...

We came here to have dinner, and we had our child with us. We came in and had the McDonald’s bag in our hand, we were seated. Gave our child his McDonald’s to eat and we were waiting to order. Another waitress immediately comes over as he’s eating and say “oh no outside food is allowed” mind you they don’t have a kids menu they only have fries. I asked for the manager, Preet comes by and proceeded to repeat the same thing, I told her they don’t have anything on their menu for him to eat, she said we have fries he’s eating fries. I said is that all he’s going to eat? She said we have wings and wontons…..my 4 year old doesn’t eat wings or wontons. So I’m assuming he’s just supposed to eat fries right? Absolutely disgusting for an establishment, people are supposed to eat dinner and have their child not eat nothing. We left and we’ll probably never come back, and I’ll definitely be telling my friends and family!

Thanks for your feedback,

Funny you say that, We were at moxies last night and he did have food from another establishment, which he ate at the table with us. There was no issues. Moxies and a lot of other chain restaurants do have a designated kids menu with multiple kid friendly options. Maybe try adding kid friendly options to your menu and this won’t be an issue. The whole idea was to dine in and “support” we can’t just sit there and eat and have our child not eat. Just assuming that we were trying to drag your establishment down is...

I had the pleasure of dining at a local West Indian food spot and I must say, I was completely blown away by the flavors and authenticity of the cuisine. The atmosphere of the restaurant was vibrant and inviting, with reggae and soca music playing in the background and colorful decor that transported me straight to trinidad. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful suggestions and ensuring that my dining experience was top-notch. As for the food, every dish we tried was a culinary delight. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy, with just the right amount of heat. The curry fish was tender and flavorful, with a rich and fragrant sauce that had me going back for seconds. And let's not forget about the rice and peas - a staple of West Indian cuisine that was cooked to perfection. But the standout dish of the night was the roti filled with a savory mix of curry chicken and potatoes, creating a dish that was as comforting as it was delicious. I couldn't get enough of it! Overall, my dining experience at this West Indian food spot was truly memorable. The flavors, the atmosphere, and the hospitality all exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes from their tantalizing menu. If you're a fan of Caribbean cuisine, this is a must-visit spot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
