Stay away from the Quality Inn and Suites located on 30 Clark Boulevard, Brampton, Ontario, Canada. My son and I checked in the hotel on 4 Aug, at about 7:40pm. I was told the price would be about $160 for a room with two queen's beds -- that price seemed a bit high for a two star hotel though. In the morning next day around 9am, we checked out and found the price charged is actually $367.80, plus $100 security deposit.
Hence there was an ensured dispute between I and their GM. In our first conversation in the early morning on 8 Aug, the GM promised to send me the registration form I signed, which never arrived even after repeatedly urging. It was only finally sent to me around 11:30am after several rounds of back and forth useless conversation, making it questionable about its authenticity. In addition, I remember I didn't see the price when I signed it.
Everyone interested can check the prices for Aug. Never ever should the price would have been that high. The average price for Aug so far for that hotel is around $194.
Response from the owner9 hours ago Dear Jojo, Thank you for your recent feedback regarding your stay at Quality Inn and Suites in Brampton. We appreciate your time in sharing your experience. We understand your concerns about the pricing discrepancy and apologize for any confusion. Please be advised that upon making your reservation, our team provides clear information about room rates and security deposits. We also ensure that our guests sign the registration form, which includes detailed information about the charges. We acknowledge your concerns about the price difference. However, during Caribana weekend, hotel rates throughout the GTA tend to be higher due to increased demand, which is a common occurrence every year. Regarding the communication with our General Manager, we assure you that we strive for prompt and effective resolution. Your signed registration form was sent promptly as per your request. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope this clarifies any misunderstandings. We value your patronage and would welcome the opportunity to host you again in the future. Best Regards, Bharat Bhalla Front Desk Quality Inn & Suites
That response above is not correct. First everybody understands price fluctuation, but I remember the price the staff at front desk told me is totally different. I had asked him why was no price shown in the registration form when he asked me to sign? His answer is "it is just a registration form sir, the price will be shown in receipt when you check out." I thought he was honest, maybe it really just procedural, so I signed.
So overall that's not an honest, satisfactory...
Read moreStayed here before and front desk was quite rude and unhelpful for me to check in but managed to. The front desk staff told me that they just charge room and tax on my credit card and that’s it and then before I decided to leave for the hotel and was planning my stay I called the hotel and asked if they just took Room and tax on credit card and they said yes. I then booked an Uber and told my sister we would be staying at that hotel that night and put the correct amount of money on my credit card for the room amount and when I got to the hotel they suddenly added an additional $100 deposit and told me my card was declined. When I told them that they never mentioned there was an additional $100 deposit on top of the room and tax that it was neither told to me when I called or when I was there last month it was basically like well we made that up now last minute so that’s how it is. My credit card was successfully charged for the room and tax and went through but instead of giving me the room they cancelled my reservation and redid the charge so that the money will come back to me and told me to leave and that was it. It all happened so quickly. When I looked at my credit card app to see what I had left and maybe there was a different way I could book the room all the money was gone off of my credit card because they had charged it and then I was notified over the phone that it will take 35 days for me to get the money back. I asked the hotel staff if there was any way they could help because I travelled really far to get to the hotel and I was supposed to see me sister there they basically said no. The manager who so rudely told me to leave and messed up my credit card wouldn’t even come out from the back room where he was sitting to talk to me he just told the other front desk attendant no and shecame out saying all this stuff that doesn’t make any sense about their system and why I can’t stay there even tho I paid for the room. It was extremely rude and unprofessional and I thought front desk staff were supposed to help. Also they had my credit card number on file so I didn’t understand why they couldn’t have let me stay I stayed there before and no mess or problems were made. Later the front desk manager that charged all this stuff on my card and then cancelled my reservation threw my card back at me and told me to get out walked by me while I was sitting in the lobby and I saw him look at me and he had a smirk on his face. His first name is Seytan so if you get that manager when you go there turn around and walk right out it...
Read moreVisited for 5 days. There were a ton of tiny things that just got on my nerves: -first day I get here, the key they made for me doesn't work -they spelled the wifi password wrong so I had to go and ask for it again -literally all movies are the price of adult movies. Whether it was a 90s movie or an adult movie. 25 dollars. -they bathroom has a lot of dark grime and spiders everywhere. -woke up to a 7:30am annoying hard knock across my hall from their room service saying "room service! Room service! Room service!" Seriously? Do you NOT let your guests sleep in past...8? I feel like that's extremely unreasonable. -their 'continental breakfast was 2 microwaved sausages, a cup of yogurt and a tiny Costco muffin. -swimming pool would have been a saving grace if the door key worked for it. The door to it said they were closed for covid, but the front door said they were open if you prove your vaccination. -third day, our towels are all soiled and toilet paper used up. I asked the front desk to service our room in which case they said it would be serviced on the third day. But the sign in the bathroom said we could request more frequent services! -My friend used up all the toilet paper and tissue paper, so we ask for more. "we don't have access to that". So we had to walk to a convenient store around the corner since it was late at night. -guess what! Our keys stopped working again. So they reswipe them. -one of the guests kept the door propped open which is a huge security risk for the rest of the guests staying there. -their vending machine froze and I lost money from it half-day. I know this probably isn't their fault but it's just another little thing that added up. I should have packed us up and gone to another hotel.
There was a nice house keeping lady who was offering to clean my room but my guest was still sleeping, so we missed out. They 'cleaned' the room maybe once out of my 6 day stay. It was all around frustrating. Stay away if you don't want to...
