I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience at this McDonaldâs location because it was both frustrating and disappointing. I placed a simple mobile order for a medium fries and waited patiently at the counter. Despite standing there for quite some time, there was no acknowledgment from any of the staff. I couldnât help but notice that customers who placed similar orders after me were receiving their food first, while my order: #2116 was skipped entirely as they called out 2115, 2117, 2118, and so on.
I fully understand that staffing was limited when I was there, and I wasnât trying to make a scene. However, after standing there for a while without any recognition, I approached a crew member working the drinks station to ask about my order and pointed out that it appeared to have been skipped. She did ask the supervisor working the fries station to check right away, but then cut me off mid-sentence and said mistakes can happen, that my order was probably âaccidentally deleted.â
What shocked me most was that when I mentioned feeling ignored while I stood waiting, she called me out in front of other customers and said I had âan attitude.â I responded by saying, âIâm not having an attitudeâ, but as someone whoâs been standing here waiting for a while, Iâll admit Iâm understandably frustrated. Her remark was uncalled for, unprofessional, and humiliating. Rather than helping to de-escalate the situation, it only made things worse; the opposite of what good customer service should do. I later asked for her name and was told (though I couldnât hear well due to the food court noise) that it was âTaylani.â
When I eventually spoke to the on-duty supervisor, she seemed a bit overwhelmed but was apologetic and replaced/upgraded my fries, which I appreciated. Still, this experience left me feeling dismissed and embarrassed, especially as the issue could have been resolved with just acknowledgment and empathy.
Additionally, I noticed that none of the staff appeared to be wearing name tags, which made it difficult to identify the employee in question. Iâm unsure of McDonaldâs current policies on name tags, but I believe it would help with accountability and transparency in situations like this.
While I recognize that mistakes happen, the lack of communication, the dismissive attitude, and being called out publicly were unacceptable. I have already escalated this matter and will continue to do so, as Iâve noticed other recent reviews describing similar experiences at this location.    Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. Worst service and rude staff. I was the only car in the drive thru at 705 in the morning and ordered 3 bagels, 3 coffees and hot chocolate. And waited over 15 minutes. After 10 minutes worker came to the window and said they didn't have 1 of the bagels. At this point the person behind me is honking, kids screaming and I'm getting later and later for work. The worker had no sympathy nor did the "manager." I go back to mcdonald's because I used to work there and have developed a loyalty but this location is really testing that. Horrible, just horrible.
Back to Report 2021. This McDonald's is somehow worse than it has ever been. Worst McDonald's I have ever been too, unfortunately also the closest to my house. Let me tell a story. For the third time in 1 week this has happened. I consistently order a Chicken McMuffin combo with a hash brown and hot chocolate. I ask for light Mayo on my sandwich because I don't like Mayo soup on my sandwich.(this is a whole different issue with this McDonald's) 3 times they have charged me for leaf Lettuce and actually put Lettuce on my sandwich. I haven't once asked for Lettuce. The first time, I called and explained the situation to the manager. She was apologetic and offered a free meal to fix the problem. I few days later I went to redeem my free meal. They added the Lettuce again. And again today the same thing. And of course they aren't picking up the phone today. It doesn't matter whether it is lunch or breakfast, this McDonald's has consistently screwed up every single order I have ever placed here.    Read moreI went to the sandalwood McDonalds location earlier this morning ( March 31st @2:30am ish) and I had to worst experience ever. The crew was slow and sluggish I waiting 20min to get to the window . After repeated the order to the Indian guy at the 2 second window and kindly ask please make sure my order is right he responded âokâ and then closed the window on me in mid conversation. After I received my order and left the drive thru and checked my order it was completely wrong. I asked for a McDouble DLM combo with a poutine extra gravy, I got a regular McDouble and literally barely any gravy. I had to go though the drive thru and waited 30mins this time. When I got to the window I explained to them the inconvenience, once again closed the window on me in mid conversation and looked to the other Indian crew member and started laughing then the manager, a fat Indian lady came to the window didnât even apologize then Charged me for the extra gravy although I was already charged for it, the manager and crew was unprofessional and disrespectful laughing in my faced for their mistake.
