National Sweets & Restaurant — Restaurant in Brampton

Super confused, mismanaged, and unhygienic environment. Lead girl carring phone in pocket has no etiquette to talk to customers. Workers have least concern towards customers. They have their own drama and fun going on, even cooks and worker had friends visiting and gave all time chatting with them and taking care of their order personally. No one answers google number whenever I call to place order to save time, it took me 45 minutes standing there for 8 naans, 6 samosas and half lb jalebi, seen number of people after me taking their orders and leaving, upon asking this girl rudly told it will take time and I should wait on the side!!! What side??? Do you have any dedicated waiting area or lineup??? And when my order was finally ready, the way she handed over the bag was extremely humiliating!! I was fasting and also had guests at home. Otherwise, would have definitely tried to talk to owners or someone responsible.

Please teach your workers some basic manners before you come across something serious or legal.

Talking about taste is my least concern at this point, but I have to, samosas, were tasteless, and aloo was undercook, samosas outer layer was different of every samosa, The naan edges were super raw and undercooked. Yes, jalebis were good.

I visited again this time just because it was nearby, and without a doubt, it was my last visit.

I have seen restaurants like Brar and Indias taste growing with outclassed customer service and owners on toes, even a small restaurant sweet Palace has extremely better environment food and staff, but here, some regular girl workers have taken over who have nothing to do with the restaurant's sustainability or growth. This spot has so much potential, but simply they don't want to.

We ordered 2 Thalis and were rejected from dine in, we were told thalis are not dine in, I have never had ANY Indian restaurant tell me that thalis are for take out only especially if there is a designated seating area, they weren’t even busy there were plenty of booths available, but I can tell why it was so empty who would want to visit such a mess of a restaurant.

The staff working at this store is so dry and rude, we said it’s fine we’ll take the thali for takeout then we made a tiny request to put the salad on the side in a tiny container, we said both Thalis salad can be put in ONE container so they don’t have to waste 2 containers and we were rejected that request as well. I have never had this issue at Sweet Palace or Kwality for any of our tiny minor requests, never have we been rejected to dine in just cause we’re getting a Thali, which makes NO sense.

Going back to hygiene, the girl putting food in our thali was coughing ALLL OVER THE FOOD. Out of courtesy as we didn’t want to embarrass her infront of staff and the few customers we didn’t say anything, we just took our bag and threw it into the garbage bin outside the restaurant, I don’t think anyone wants to eat food from any restaurant where staff is openly coughing all over the food and not even attempting to make an effort to cough into their elbow or step away. I had a good experience first time take out. Today been there for 2nd time had a horrible experience with Dry Manchuria order. I noticed the Manchuria is not looking good and fresh, hence requested to cancel my take out order while all snacks and two gravy curries I'm okay with other orders. I was told they will make a fresh one and I'm standing waited for 40 minutes, later I noticed they were taking the old one inside kitchen, suspected something wrong, as I was given Manchuria with sauce, hence I again question the staff. Later the chef told it's fresh, but when went home and tasted it's not at all fresh and understood that they tricked me. What I suspected was true. They just added the fresh sauces to old stale pieces and packed for me. It's very unpleasant experience I will never again go to this place. I cannot image how they were lying on the face and charging the customer while giving stale food. I didn't recommend such unethical place. It's couldn't digest how they can do such things even after I asked them twice. It's too bad and disturbing. Hence I had to post this review to warn others. It's not only waste of money, precious time. It's a bad feeling how people as so ridiculously bluff and don't care for health and well-being of a customer while they charging a good...
