Terrible service. First we were told there is a waiting for 30 mins minimum. We agreed to wait and go out for a walk after giving in our name and number for them to call us the moment a table becomes available .we went out for a quick walk right outside the restaurant . And all this while I am VISIBLY heavily pregnant (almost 9 months)! We come back in 25 mins to check back if any table has been vacant .While walking in saw one of their servers presenting the bill to a table of two. So we asked again how much time till the table is free. The same person who took down our name and number told us nothing available at the moment! By now I was getting impatient and very hungry and asked him about the table he presented the bill to .And my husband reminded him about writing down our reservation! Till then it was pure amnesia! And let me remind you it's a not a HUGE restaurant that they couldn't keep track .it's a 22 to 25 seater restaurant! Pretty small to keep a tab on what's happening there. While ordering half the things were not available in appetizers and everything else on the menu came with a disclaimer "will take 30 mins to make". Fair enough! We we're we're too hungry and I was too pregnant to keep moving from restaurant to restaurant. So we agreed for that wait time too. After 15 mins the manager came back to let us know that the kebab we ordered has fallen down and they have to remake it and that will take another 30 mins! And offered another kebab instead. Now this was becoming a joke! So we said ok to the only option they offered us instead. That's not the end of the misery. After the kebab, the main course took an hour to come. Then to compensate all this slack they offered a free dessert. Which if I really wanted to have would have ordered. Not everyone wants or likes to have dessert. And some free buttermilk was offered too. I don't care for complimentary food and drinks. All I actually wanted was what I ordered to come on time and for them to seat us on time. So the complimentary stuff didn't really salvage the situation. Never going back there again. TERRIBLE...
Read moreVisited Incredible India yesterday with a friend of mine. Chef Parthiv has been a friend of mine since 2014, and wanted to visit his new restaurant from many days. Chef Parthiv is very talented and I always used to get to taste his delicacies at our previous employment together. I am very happy that he has his own restaurant so all the Canadians can try his signature preparations.
Tried Dahi Ke Kebab, Murgh Seekh Kebab, Aloo Tikka Chaat for starters. Tried Paneer Lababdar, Murgh Kali Mirch, Naan and Paratha for main course.
Dahi ke Kebab were crisp on outside, also so soft and spongy in the middle. Delicately flavored without overpowering spices upon yogurt. They tasted divine.
Murgh Seekh Kebab were finger licking amazing. They were served on mini-sigdi (Indian BBQ) for authentic look and appeal, with piece of burning charcoal underneath, as kebabs were coming out of kitchen. Kebabs being absorbing the smoky aroma of coal and the visual of the dish was exquisite. Kebabs were boldly flavored and very succulent being made to order.
Aloo Tikka Chaat, was a simple chaat (street-food) preparation, made with Aloo Tikka, Chickpeas, yogurt, sev, chutneys and spices. The preparation was so simple, yet visually very appealing and flavors balanced perfectly, my Caucasian friend after eating Seekh Kebab loved eating it, as it helped him to sooth his palate from spices of Kebab. In my opinion best accompaniment for Kebab.
Paneer Lababdar was very delicately flavored preparation, with subtle hint of green cardamom, mace and/or nutmeg with very tender paneer pieces and very fragrant gravy.
Murgh Kali Mirch was bold preparation with with caramelized/fried onion pieces which added subtle sweetness to preparation, which perfectly complemented peppery gravy and very succulent chicken pieces.
Naan bread and Paratha (Lacchedar/Layered) were divine as well, as freshly made to order and generously smeared with ghee, just felt like eating and eating and keep...
Read moreMeh... Nothing special. Way, way too oily for certain dishes (both meat and/or veg dishes)) and very overspiced as well. The food itself is very spicy (heat wise) but that is subjective to your tastebuds and some will indeed enjoy and appreciate. Generally speaking, the food just simply uses too many/too much actual spices. Salt and chilies are masking real flavours. Seems like a science experiment in the kitchen...
I don't think it's as "incredible" as some are making it seem. It's just another typical Brampton Indian restaurant.
Seems like a good last resort on the way home from work (maybe.)
This review is based entirely off a Skip order. The in house dining experience maybe totally amazing, but unfortunately my Skip experience with this won't order from here in the future.
Apparently the take out menu is different than in house according to other reviews. Fair enough, but how come even a simple raitha isn't offered through Skip? Gimme a break.
I love spicy food, but this place is just plain strange. I'm still willing to bet the dine-in experience is better as the restaurant would be able to provide a more personalized experience face to face.
Update after owner comment: No, I won't be calling in to get my flavours adjusted as per the owner. If I didn't like it as per your original recipe, why on earth would I further waste my time. Thanks though as the offer is appreciated. Btw:. What is "complete Indian style food" and how does "freshest" ingredients make things more oily? Like I said, the in house dining I'm sure would be amazing comparatively. This is simple feedback and I wish the restaurant...
