Worst Chicken Shawarma Poutine Experience – Avoid This Location!

I recently ordered from Osmow’s Shawarma at 25 Brisdale Dr #3, Brampton, and had the worst food experience of my life. I ordered my go-to item, Chicken Shawarma Poutine, which is usually my top pick when I don’t have time to cook. Unfortunately, this location has consistently disappointed me, but due to time constraints, I decided to give it another try. Big mistake.

Here’s what went wrong:

Watery Gravy and Garlic Sauce: I specifically asked for extra gravy, but what I received was tasteless, watery gravy that seemed diluted. The garlic sauce was no better—thin and flavorless, completely unlike what it should be. Wrong Cheese Used: Instead of curd cheese, which is a standard for poutine, they used mozzarella. Mozzarella is unsuitable for poutine and, when not properly cooked, can cause stomach issues. Overall Quality: The dish lacked the rich flavors and textures I’ve come to expect from a proper Chicken Shawarma Poutine. This location clearly cuts corners, compromising the quality and authenticity of their food. It was a waste of my money and left me thoroughly disappointed.

To Osmow’s management: This location urgently needs to address these quality issues. Subpar food like this tarnishes your brand reputation.

To fellow diners: Save your money and avoid this location. There are better alternatives in Brampton that deliver the authentic Osmow’s experience.

And yes, I had to throw away whatever you can see in attached picture, I could only had some of the poutine since I was really hungry, otherwise I would have...

I really don't like this location. Every single time I've had a bad experience with the staff there. I'm not even asking for it.

I didn't know anything about shawarma when I first visited the Osmow's at this location. When I asked questions, the cashier and the old man seemed quite annoyed. These were genuine questions about toppings and spice levels. I visited again a second time and received similar treatment. I have never seen a smile from these people.

Fast forward to 2020, I went there for their Shawarma day event and they did us dirty. They forced us to make one order between my friend and I because they thought we were trying to abuse their promotion. (The promotion was Chicken Wraps or Chicken on the rocks for 5$, limit of 5 items per customer.)

My friend told me about the 5$ deal and we decided to go and keep each other company. We waited one hour in line to be told that we cannot order separately. They were extremely unreasonable, and wouldn't hear us out. (So 5 items were shared between the 2 of us)

Why advertise 5 wraps per person and force us to order together when we aren't related? Is it because you assume so because we are both brown?

At the end of the day it's just food, but also really unprofessional on your part Brisdale Osmow's! What if I didn't know my friend? What if we just happened to make small talk in the line and you assumed we were related?

AMAZING!! When I found out that Osmow's was opening at this locations, I was so excited. I have been to other locations and they are a bit far to do take out. When they opened I was not disappointed at all. I have been going weekly since they opened. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is fantastic. I believe it's a family that runs it and the wife and husband team are super nice and their sons are very efficient and make sure your order is perfect every time. I was going to the Chinguacousy and Steeles location and they weren't friendly at all and food was ok. This location the food portions are great and when you ask for extra sauce they are very generous with it. I have ordered the Osmow's mix grill, which is fantastic! I LOVE the chicken shawarma sandwich and they make it just perfect every time. I was so excited with the half and half, which is chicken shawarma on half rice, half french fries, because they are both delicious and now all in one container...YUM. When I try different menu items I also always get the chicken shawarma sandwich because it's that good. I go every Friday after work (and sometime Monday lol) because I enjoy the food and the people so much at this location. My family has now started going there as well and they agree that it's the best one they've gone too and it's close by. I hope they do really well and stay open forever!! LOVE...
