I want to provide a detailed situation I had to deal with a few nights ago and my how this manager by the name of Raman has left me angry and a ruined appetite from Popeyes.
Explanation:
I wanted to share my recent experience at Popeyes, and it was incredibly disappointing. I received an ad on my phone for new offer available through the Popeyes app, of the 12 piece sweet and spicy wings & fries for 19.99$ CAN so I decided to visit the store to redeem one of these offers. I was excited to try out the deal and expected a smooth and pleasant experience.

However, when I arrived at the store, I encountered a manager named Raman, who was dismissive, unhelpful, and frankly disrespectful. I explained that I had received a Canadian offer on the app and wanted to redeem it in-store. Raman immediately told me that the coupon wasn’t working and that they can't do it in store and first, implying that it might be a U.S. offer when asking which website I got it from and I explained it's from the app which is Canadian. I clarified that it was a Canadian offer, and I even showed her the option to redeem it on the app. Despite this, Raman kept repeating herself in a rude and unhelpful manner, insisting that the offer was not valid & The payment must be made on the app and not in store which leaves me confused when the application gives a "REDEEM IN STORE" Option?!? Which is ridiculous being told that as I lose the offer after selecting it too as it last for only 15 mins!
I was shocked by Raman’s behavior. It was clear that there was a problem with their system or a misunderstanding, but she was unwilling to assist or take any steps to resolve the issue. She offered no alternative solutions and seemed more interested in dismissing me than addressing my concerns.
Additionally, when I asked for Raman’s name so that I could report this incident to their head office, she hesitated and did not provide her name immediately & encouraging me to report this to her head office in a disrespectful way. Only at the end she explains I have to pay for the full price if I want the wings.
This entire experience left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. As a customer, I expected better treatment and assistance, especially when I was trying to redeem an offer that Popeyes had advertised to me from their own app.
I have since made a complaint already online, providing all the quick details about this incident. I hope that Popeyes will take this feedback seriously and improve their customer service. Everytime I come in, I ask for fresh chicken because I am very peculiar about the chicken that’s been sitting in that heating rack. I have gotten sick from that chicken before, food poisoning and all and it’s always dry and has discoloration as you see in the picture. I know when I receive fresh chicken. It tastes 10x different and looks 10x different. Today I went in and ordered fresh chicken. The lady insisted that the chicken on the heating rack just came out as they just opened an hour ago. I stated I still wanted fresh chicken and I have no problem waiting the extra 20 minutes for it to be done. When I went back for my food, it was already in a box which they told me 20 minutes and I went back 15 minutes early. I got home and once I started eating it noticed that I was in fact not fresh chicken. It even tasted left over from the night before or something. It is horribly distasteful, discolouration. I had to throw it away. I wasted my money. When a customer states they want fresh chicken, it’s literally in your job description to provide that. If you don’t have it then say that. But don’t lie to the customer and tell them you will give them fresh chicken when in fact you are just giving them the old stale chicken from the heating rack. You being opened over an hour ago with chicken just sitting there even then it becomes dry. Nobody wants chicken thats been cooked for over an hour and just sitting down. This was a horrible experience and the crazy part is, I know they know me personally as I order the same fresh chicken every single time and 9/10 they give me problems just because I don’t want what’s on the grill. Which tells me this was done on purpose. To play with peoples food, is a disgusting thing to do. I will be back and I will be asking to speak to management as this is unacceptable. You guys need to do better. If you don’t like working in fast food then maybe you should get another job instead of wasting people money. There is a reason when people tell u there food restrictions. You don’t know everybody’s health issues. This should be illegal to play around with people’s food like that when they clearly stated what they wanted for there reasoning. Read moreTerrible food, terrible customer service. No receipt was provided. Not sure why they held on to the receipt so I’m not able to do the internal survey right way since I don’t have store #. Order took 20mins plus minutes to prepare and food not fully cooked. I was in this location so long that they ask what would I like to order twice and I responded waiting for my order. This shows the location was not busy. There was only two ladies during this experience no shift change over so there should not have been any confusion. I ask how much longer as I can see food ready to be packed and the lady just walking back and forth and back and forth. She looked confused and responded nuggets aren’t ready. The other lady jumps into the conversation and says if you didn’t want to wait you should of told us. The previous lady responds it s ready and packs the food I can clearly see has been ready for some time. They continue to argue with me, and I respond stop arguing with me and give me my food so I can go. She held on the box as to not want to let it go. I’m beyond annoyed and hungry at this point. And I flip them on my way out to which they respond same to you, fair enough. But My food is cold and not fully cooked after all this time as shown in the picture. I don’t have a receipt. If this location is going to enough bad service it should at least have good food. Have this team read a up on deescalation something as simple as sorry let me check instead of beginning to argue with the customer right away or telling the customer why they didn’t they tell them that they didn’t want to wait. Which is funny because I wasn’t give a timeline to respond i didn’t want to wait or I’m going to get something else. Maybe instead of asking customer multiple times what I want to order after already ordering . Maybe just let the customer know the order is in process. I can tell this business is already struggling when they are offering extra chicken at less cost to keep the customer who’s is cancelling the orders not yet placed. I didn’t eat the tender that are not cooked. My kid didn’t eat the nuggets as it was extremely salt. Waste of $32.
