Read moreRecently, I posted a list of 8 restaurants that most people thought they were American but are Canadian on the Next Door app. My husband and I had never heard of Philthy Phillies and I love Philly steak sandwiches so we went on Friday (2025-04-04) at the one at 148 Queen St E. Really good service and good food. I took the Philly steak with provolone and grilled onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Added lettuce and got my bread toasted. Lots of Garlic Aioli. Shared a side of original medium poutine. My husband took the Philly steak and 3 cheeses. My conclusion is that I should have taken a Philthy size (I think it's a 6" or bit bigger) instead of the small one. The poutine did not have the squeaky cheese but it was probably diced strings and that was okay too. The medium size is good for 2 unless that's all you're eating. Food 4.5; service 5;...
Read moreWhat is this even? These cost way too much to be this dry inside, soggy outside, and the ends of the bread were rubbery/hard to bite. (Like when you microwave bread too long..) Got the largest poutine, but the box isn’t filled to the top.. almost 20$ for potatoes, and you can’t fill the box? Plus it tasted weird, like soap, or something. The flavour of the sandwich was pretty okay. I wish there was more meat, or sauce, or cheese, or idk juice from something to make it less dry. I needed a drink with it 😂 but the poutine is weird, too salty, too soapy.. and the portions are tiny for the cost. My bf could eat 4 regular sized sandwiches easily. So yeah, worth a try, but don’t expect something the size of a sub, that’s for sure. (And there’s no gooey...
