Where do I even begin? Let's piece together some clues and see if we can't come to a reasonable conclusion about my experience at this location across several visits. Well, firstly they don't give you your receipt unless you ask them for it... Strange, right? What could be on your receipt that they wouldn't want to give it to you unless you were to force their hand? Well, I contend that it must be the survey on the back which offers you a free piece of chicken and a biscuit with a drink purchase. How do I know this? Well, 3 times I've went in to use the code I received upon LEGITIMATE completion of the survey which THEY offer, I've been met with resistance and pushback both direct and indirect. The first instance, I used separate order surveys on back to back days. The worker started speaking to the manager in Punjabi about how I must have illegitimately acquired the code, I assume not realizing I myself am Punjabi. Hilarious, as I understood every word, but no harm to me - I received my food (which I noticed - and perhaps I'm mistaken - the worker had seemingly picked out the smallest possible piece to give me) and was merrily on my way. Well, another time I went in and she said they do not honor the code any day after the order of which receipt you receive. This is supposedly because people are trying to scam free chicken I suppose? I'm not entirely sure to be completely honest as you only receive one receipt from an order and you must bring in said receipt with a validation code written on it to redeem the offer. Seems mighty paranoid, and as an old adage states, 'every accusation is a confession'. What is special about this location that they don't honour the stated 30-day redeemable window for the code? Well it seems to me that they possess an indefatigable rapacity which causes them to shirk Popeye's franchise standards in the pursuit of fleecing their customers of a few red pennies. An extreme accusation to be sure, yet not an unfounded one - which leads to the final clue... I am not one to often use google reviews, in fact this might be the first time I've ever actually written one. However my experience at this location and the customer service I have thus received has been so shockingly bad that I felt compelled to scour their reviews, surely I must be a one-off unlucky person with several instances of bad customer service correct? Well, just the opposite. After doing a dive into this locations reviews, wading through the wordless 5-stars who may or may not be bots, I found several instances of people having the exact same experience as me - not receiving receipts, being gaslit by the employees, not having the legitimate survey code that THEY offer being honoured. So, what is the picture that we can piece together from these clues? I believe that this location has some avaricious management which are actively shirking both Popeye's standards, practices, and are casting a negative light on the franchise as a whole. The clues above all point directly to this conclusion. Frankly, I'd take myself to Church's chicken and get...
Read moreIf I could give this location 0 stars I would. This location is very disgusting in regard to their behaviour of how they treat their customers. I placed an order through Uber eats today October 15, 2024 at 10:54pm. The order estimated time was for 11:03pm. I had my husband come in to pick up the order, I was on the phone to hear the full conversation. The employee at the register was already giving the person in front of him a hard time, when it was time for my husband to pick up the order the lady at the register said “the order is not ready yet, we need 15 more minutes.” As time went by it was 11:24pm and the order was ready. The lady gave him a hard time with the name being different, “I don’t think this order is for you”. He provided the name and the order number and she still will not take it. I spoke over the phone and said the order is correct. She had pulled the manager to confirm and once I guess they had enough they gave the order.
It is embarrassing for a customer to have to go through this type of situation. The order was placed in advanced and they had enough time to prepare this order, in no circumstance should there be an issue. Orders through Uber eats or skip the dishes should be made first.
I called the location to make a service complaint, spoke to the “manager” in regard to this situation. The manager was very rude and stated “my employees come first other than you customers.” As I asked for her name, she than hung up the phone. I called back and asked “why did you hang up when I asked for your name”, she said “i didn’t hang up the call disconnected”. The call disconnected right after I asked for your name there was no issue other than that prior. She was very argumentative and could not take constructive criticism at all, she also continued to call me names on the phone when all I asked to begin with is if she could give me an accurate response to this situation. If it is a procedure where you need to take several steps to verify if an order is correct than explain that. I asked for her name once more and she said “I do not need to disclose my name”. Which is in accurate because anyone in Canada working in a public environment is governed to provide their name regardless of their employment status.
I would highly not recommend this location due to their poor customer service. Very disgusted with this behaviour and I will continue to go higher with...
Read moreMy recent encounter with Popeyes' poutine left much to be desired. As a fan of both fries and gravy, I was excited to try their take on this classic dish. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short of my expectations.
The poutine arrived looking unappetizing and hastily put together. The fries were limp and soggy, lacking the crispy texture that makes poutine so enjoyable. The gravy, which should have been the star of the show, was disappointingly thin and lacked depth of flavor. It seemed as if it had been poured over the fries without much thought.
To add insult to injury, the cheese curds were barely melted, resulting in a chewy and rubbery texture that was far from the gooey goodness I had hoped for. The portion size was also surprisingly small for the price, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and wondering if I had received my money's worth. I also had iced tea. Iced tea smelled like muddy pond. I got sick after eating there food. Not recommended
The overall experience was underwhelming. It's clear that Popeyes' attempt at poutine falls short of the mark. The lack of attention to detail, from the texture of the fries to the quality of the gravy and cheese, was evident in every bite. For a dish that relies on the harmony of its components, this poutine was a disappointing cacophony.
I would advise anyone craving a satisfying poutine to look elsewhere. Popeyes' rendition simply doesn't do justice to the rich and indulgent flavors that a good poutine...
