I visited this Punjabi restaurant on a Tuesday night with my mother and aunt, who were visiting from the U.S. We originally went to buy hot jalebis, but since it was already around 11–11:30 pm, the staff informed us that hot jalebis were only available until 9 pm. While we were about to leave, a kind and attentive server recommended some other sweets instead. She patiently explained the options, helped us select a few boxes, and even packed everything with extra care, beyond our expectations. Since the sweets were to be carried back to the U.S., we truly appreciated her effort and professionalism.
What impressed us even more was how thoughtful she was when my aunt mentioned that my father has certain food allergies. She confidently guided us to the safest and best choices, which made us feel very comfortable. When my aunt asked (since we had never seen her there before), she mentioned that it was only her second day at work — which made her knowledge and professionalism even more impressive. In fact, my mother was so pleased that she even jokingly asked the server if she would like a job in the U.S., to which the young lady just smiled politely and said no, but thank you for the incredible offer. Her outstanding service, combined with the great quality of the sweets, encouraged us to come back again and even consider placing a larger event order.
However, today the experience was very different. The same welcoming server was not present, and this time no one greeted us. When I approached the cashier, she seemed rushed and directly asked for my order before I could even explain. When I pointed towards the sweets, she simply instructed me to tell another staff member and pay at the counter. The tone felt dismissive and unprofessional, which left me quite uncomfortable. I still purchased some sweets, but the lack of courtesy made me feel as if I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. Unfortunately, this experience discouraged me from placing my event order here, and I decided to go with another place instead.
Overall, the sweets are very good, but the inconsistency in customer service makes a big difference. A little more attention and respect for customers, even during busy times, would...

This was one of the worst catering experiences I’ve ever had, and people need to know. I clearly told the restaurant that I wanted to feed a group of 50 people and the restaurant suggested I order a 1 large tray of chicken fried rice and 1 large tray of chilli chicken as per their recommendation. What I received was a small, medium-sized tray that could barely feed 20 people at best.
When I raised the issue, the staff brushed it off saying it was the “normal quantity” and claimed they had “never had a complaint.” That is absolutely untrue. I explained that I regularly order such quantities elsewhere and know for a fact that this was nowhere close to enough. Still, they refused to take any responsibility.
Because I had no choice, I had to reorder the same quantity again. With 65 people in attendance, and after spending an outrageous $564 CAD ($282.50 x 2) for just two trays of fried rice and chilli chicken, there was still hardly enough food to go around. My guests were left unsatisfied, and I was humiliated in front of everyone. As many as 10-13 people didn’t get their food.
The price was absurd, the quantity pathetic, the service arrogant, and the attitude irresponsible. When we told them about the problem, they simply said “we can’t help.” No apology. No accountability. Nothing.
Now, I don’t know if this issue is with the entire chain or just this particular location l; but either way, this is unacceptable. If it’s just this restaurant, then the owners and higher management need to step in, investigate, and fix this immediately. If this is chain-wide practice, then it’s nothing less than a scam hiding under the name of a restaurant business.
I expect the higher-ups and owners to take responsibility and compensate for this disgraceful experience. Customers should never be left embarrassed, cheated, and overcharged like this.
❌ I strongly discourage anyone from ordering here until this is addressed. Don’t waste your money. Don’t risk your event. This is either a total scam or a complete...
