Cheating, Fraud and Unethical are the first three words that come to my mind when thinking of writing review for Punjabi Tadka in Brampton. We had paid in advance for 350 people for a community event. As rain was forecasted on the day of event, we had asked in advance if we could reduce the number of dishes ordered so that we do not waste food and money. The restaurant owner denied as we had already paid for 350 people. When we went to pick up food, we were asked how many people were there for the event. We had responded 150 people as we thought it was asked only for information. We were given two buckets of chhole, one tray of rice, half tray of onion and half tray of carrot salad for 350 people that we had paid for. We confirmed that the food was given for 350 people as we had already paid for. The food could not even serve 150 people as atleast 35 people had not eaten before chhole, rice, raita and salad were already over. PAYMENT was taken in advance for 350 people and food could not be served for even 150 people? When we called them, they gave us only quarter of bucket of chhole. We could not even serve rice, salad or raita to the remaining guests. The owner of the restaurant did not even have courtesy to come out and apologise or refund money for such a cheating experience of not giving food for over 200 people, but taking the payment. Mind you, the payment was given for 350 people and food could not even serve the small snacks dishes to 150 people. This was not a first event organized by a group of 50 people. We have organized multiple events and ordered food at multiple locations, this was the first time that the food could not serve even half of the people though payment was taken by the owner for double people. Cheating, fraud and unethical experience are the only three words that come to my mind after such a disgusting experience. STAY AWAY as there are 100s of honest and delicious food serving restaurants in GTA Brampton. The food was below average in terms of taste, flavour and...
Read moreThe food was ok. I must say I was quite disappointed with my experience. The main issue I encountered was the pricing, which seemed completely disconnected from the menu they provided.
It was misleading from the very beginning, leaving me with the impression that they might be running something closer to a scam than a legitimate restaurant. The menu prices were outdated, and they charged whatever they felt like, which was a significant departure from the original menu
I couldn't help but feel like I was being taken advantage of. I believe transparency and honesty in pricing are crucial for any restaurant, and this establishment fell short in that regard. I hope they can improve this aspect of their business to provide a better experience for their customers in future or atleast print or...
Read moreThe butter chicken was so bland you would think that you lost your taste buds, however the keema naan was the best I ever had. The keema naan is basically ground chicken with spices stuffed in a naan bread. It tasted like an Indian style focaccia sausage bread. As you can see the ends of the naane were burnt which made it extra beautiful. I also got the chana and naan combo. The samosa had nice golden brown crispy walls as if it were fried thrice. It's for me to not order one snack food item at an Indian restaurant because I watch Indian street food video all day. The keema naan and samosa chana were both 3.99. The medium butter chicken was 9.99$ follow me on IG and youtube!...
