Sabor Latino — Restaurant in Brandon

Not sure I can capture how I feel about Sabor Latino in one review. But I’ll try. In December last year, I contracted catering from here for a work function to feed 600 people. Every single step of the way the management at Sabor Latino remained highly adaptable, enthusiastic and committed to finding solutions that fit my event. The food provided, as corroborated by most other reviews on this place, was second to none. The staff worked extremely hard to make this work for us and they pulled it off with flying colours. Big kudos to you all.

I’ve only actually eaten in-store once, needless to say it was awesome.

The food: awesome. Fresh, felt made to order, and flavourful. I don’t know much about Latin-American food but the food they presented to me was absolutely killer.

The service: again, second to none. The staff were extremely friendly and authentic people. On top of that, it was fast. I usually hate tipping cause it feels like it’s almost a given now.. not really something people earn. But I couldn’t tip high enough with these people. They earn every cent.

The atmosphere: at the end of the day the hill I die on is cleanliness. Not at all a concern or issue eating here. The restaurant was very clean, it was appropriately decorated inside and there was more than adequate space for everyone to not feel like herded cattle.

Overall: I can’t say enough good things about Sabor Latino. This place rocks and is, in my mind, the best restaurant in Brandon depending on what you’re looking for. I would 1000% recommend eating here if you haven’t already.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Brandon. They have a huge menu that has items from Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, and El Salvador. We had a hard time deciding because so many of the menu items looked good, but I had the Salvadorenos plate that includes three pupusas, curtido slaw, and a warm tomato based sauce, plus the rice and beans to make a combo. Other folks had the birria tacos, wet burrito, and the vegetarian tacos. Everyone was really happy with their food, and the portions are generous and satisfying. Their vegetarian options are numerous and really delicious. Their pupusas are awesome. The service was unfortunately a bit clunky--we didn't get water for a long time and had to remind them to bring it, while ordering food our server seemed confused by the menu items, and then there was a lot of confusion about which dish was what when our food came. ordered online for pick up. the order we paid for and what were got were different paid for side of refried beans and guacamole.. didn't get them.. paid for a beef burrito got a chicken burrito. apparently the order information on the email does not show up on the store computer to prepare the order so they didn't know what kind of meat was ordered. the most popular is chicken so we got chicken instead of ground beef.. they didn't know we ordered the refried beans and guacamole.. they made no effort to phone me while filling the order. So I phoned them after I got home and explained what huge disappointment our dinner order was.
