When my GF and I went in to order inside there was NOBODY inside at the time except a man waiting for his order. We went to the counter and I went first and placed my order. The (East Indian) girl rang my 16nuggets first iat $5.49 (which was correct) but she rang the TAX up to $9.98 I said to her it must be wrong but she insisted it was correct and ask me if I wanted anything else. I hollered for the manager and the (white) manager came up and asked what was wrong ? I explained it to her and she found the mistake,appologised and corrected the total. Then I finished my ordering. Then my GF did hers. Then a (East Indian) man at the counter said we can sit down and they'll bring our order to the table...since we were dining in.
10mins go by and still no order. My GF went to the counter and asked where our order is ? The same man told her that they were working on it.
3 (East Indian) UBER drivers came in and the crew starting making their orders. As we watched them one at a time get their orders we were still waiting. 2 more (East Indian) UBERS came in and still nothing for us.
10 more mins went by and my GF once again went up and asked sternly this time WHERE IS OUR ORDER ! The same man said "Oh...I didn't realize you had an order" and went running around trying to find our receipts. It took them almost 5 more mins. to find our orders and start making it.
They went ahead and made my GF order first and put it aside until mine was made. Since I ordered 16nuggets a new batch needed to be made which takes 4mins to cook. They finally made my order but my GF order was sitting there getting cold. Then she asked for ice because the pop ice machine wasn't working so they had to go to the back and get some ice for our drinks 3mins later.
A (White) customer came in and I turned to him and explained what my GF and I went through for the past 25mins and said " My Gosh...it took me 20ish years to finally order a WHOPPER again and I still can't get one...lol He laughed with me. I said to him to watch himself here. Their quick if your not paying attention. He did though have an issue and was semi-yelling at them but I'm not sure what it was about.
An (White) lady UBER driver came in the same time the 3 UBERS did after us and she was still there waiting for her orders long after we ate and left.
If that's not a case of DISCRIMINATION ...I certainly don't know...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is based off of about 8 separate trips over a two-week period. I order pretty much the same thing every single time and with no special instructions. I can say that only once, out of the 8 orders, did the order get done correctly. Throughout my 8 visits, at least one of the following has happened:
waiting at the serving window for over 4 minutes before anyone acknowledged I was there they didn't open on time because they were short-staffed getting my side wrong (they seem to assume everyone wants fries and when you tell them another side, they add that side on top of your total order) giving 1 dipping sauce for a 10-pack of chicken nuggets not including marinara sauce in an order for marinara sticks
A final annoyance is that they give you an order number and then ask you both at the payment window and again at the serving window. I'm sure this is to ensure you don't get someone else's order. The issue is when you're the only customer in the entire restaurant and drive-thru. My order is the only one on the screen, but I still get given a number and then asked twice.
The only thing stopping this from being a 1-star review is that I really like Burger King food (which explains why I've gone 8 times in 14 days) and whatever I do end up getting in my to-go bag is tasty, and the price is reasonable. I understand they're new to opening, however this is the second time this has happened. the first time my sisters waited 30 minutes just to have their order taken because the staff were goofing off with each other and not focusing on the crowd of people with orders. the second time my family waited over an hour for our order to be taken in the drive-thru. The order taker had no idea what she was typing in and never listened to what we had to say. the guy in front of us cut us off and waited 5 minutes for some pop. when we gave them our coupons, they charged us full price anyway. and once we finally got all our food, the fries were cold and soggy and the chicken nuggets and burgers were dry. they didnt even give me any dipping sauce for the nuggets. to wait that long, I would've thought they were going to be much better than that.
Overall, I will not be returning and I am surprised that the employees of this restauraunt have the audacity to do all of this and not even bother to make it up in the way of coupons or an apology. Not one of them cared and none of them were sorry. me thinking they would've been a little faster made me late to work and I called a guest relations line, however I don't think I will...
