I was browsing in Lynden park mall when I got hungry naturally I went to the food court there I had a choice to get KFC, Taco bell, A&W, Subway, Tim Hortons, New York fries or Greek food. Stupidly I chose Tim Hortons, I remembered when the grilled cheese melt had first came out and trying it with my dad, I remember it be very good so I figured I’d try it again. That was a huge mistake, I ordered it and it was 6.99$ way too expensive, not only did it take almost 10 minutes for one grilled cheese sandwich but it was embarrassingly bad. The cheese inside my sandwich wasn’t even melted even though it took 7-10 minutes to make, biting into it was the biggest mistake of my life, the sandwich looked so unappetizing I was literally scared to bite into this thing. The worst part of this is it hurt my gut after eating it right after eating it I had extreme gas and pain in my stomach, I had to run to a washroom to take a dump and it was pure liquid absolute diarrhea, this thing was a chewy cheese flavoured laxative. Now let’s get to the taste, it was like biting in 10 cheese slices stacked on top of each other it tasted horrible the inside was chewy and almost rubbery. The only decent part about this meal was the mozzarella cheese on top I wish that would be inside instead of the rubber tire like cheese they use. I find it embarrassing that my microwave can melt cheese better than a multi-billion dollar company’s fancy machine. Luckily there was a Wendy near it where I finally had real food. So unless you want an overpriced rubbery cheese laxative don’t order the grilled cheese melt.
Update: after a gruelling 17 poop session my stomach...
Read moreMy recent experience at this Tim Hortons location was nothing short of a nightmare. Not only did they repeatedly mess up my simple iced coffee order, but when I informed them of the mistake, instead of making a new one, they attempted to fix it, which made it taste incredibly bitter and caused further upset to my stomach.
What truly shocked me, however, was the food handling incident that followed. I ordered one of their wraps, and halfway through my meal, I found something in my food that looked like a live insect. I immediately stopped eating and took a photo for reference. I went back to the store, and made a written complaint to the manager, but it didn't change the fact that I got seriously ill within hours.
I experienced severe illness, including excruciating stomach pain and nausea. I attempted to seek immediate medical help, but I could only secure an appointment for later. To reduce my suffering, I've had to resort to taking painkillers to alleviate the pain and cramps.
To make matters worse, when I reported the issues and spoke with the manager, their solution to the matter was offering me a $10 gift card, do they think my life is worth $10 to them? Is that how they think they should resort an issue? Does this align with Tim Hortans brands policies towards customer service, food quality, food security and food handling?
I strongly advise everyone to avoid dining here. Food poisoning is no joke, and it's clear there are issues with food quality and safety at Tim Hortans Lynden Park Mall. Please help me reach out to the concerned management to address this...
Read moreWent there today for a light bite to have with a tea. Saw they had those new four cheese stick things so asked for their last one. I got my tea handed to me but not the cheese stick. Young woman working front walks back to cash to take another order. Still waiting. She comes back my way then goes to microwaves and pulls a bag out and plops it on counter infront of me. I looked her and ask "oh you didn't nuke it did you? Why's you do that? I didn't ask to have that done?" She responds with "head office says we have to microwave it". Umm no... I'd like the food I ordered and paid for not heated, i dont want it ruined by nuking it and becoming rubbery. I prefer to have it the way I like it. I'm the one eating it, not head office. I asked for a refund on the cheese stick as I was not going to eat the now ruined one. Very disappointing.
Ignore corporate and ASK THE CUSTOMERS if they want it put in the microwave since we are the ones purchasing and consuming the food. If I'd wanted it nuked I would...
