Just Like Granny's — Restaurant in Brighton

Highly don’t recommend. Used them for my daughters wedding of 100 people. They were extremely hard to contact and communicate with beforehand which was a huge added stress. They were late when delivering the food to the event. The salad was bagged salad. They own a bakery and the buns were bagged store bought buns.. the carrots were super dry with no flavour or seasoning, and the potatoes also had no flavour and were undercooked. We had ordered chicken breast, but they brought thighs and legs instead. They also said that they would provide baby butter packs for the buns for the tables, but instead brought one dish of butter that was at the buffet table. We had ordered pasta as well as meat options, but the pasta they had as self serve. A few people didn’t know so they put pasta on their plates and were told to scoop it back. We had Mac and cheese for a late night snack and it was flavourless. When they left they ended up taking all the leftover food with them which they had told us we would get to keep it since we paid for it. Very disappointed, ordered food for 70 people for celebration of life was offered ham and cheese sandwiches, roast beef , egg and tuna I asked for more meat instead of egg and tuna got no roast beef and the ham was so thin all you tasted was butter got more tuna and egg . The cheese and crackers were on same plate made crackers stale, the dessert tray was thrown together thought it would be homemade nope store bought and stale had to throw alot out cuz they all were stuck to gether was an embarrasment it did not look professional at all the veggies and fruit tray, and pickles were good. Stopped here while passing through the area and was immediately greeted with such enthusiasm and charm by the staff. Firstly, this place smells like something from my fat 12 year old dreams. Like hot sugar and warm hugs. I was happily helped and got a ton of fresh, HOT pastries within minutes. Great pricing too, each item ranged from $2-$5 but were so fresh it was insane they didn’t charge more.
