My partner and I are new to the area and we’re looking for our new regular spot! We’ve heard so many great things about Kekuli Café so we were so excited to try it! When we walked in I asked the girl at the front if anything could be made gluten free for a snack to go with a drink. I was assure by her that all products were gluten free. I asked in different ways about 5 or 6 times if things were intact gluten free. Each time she assured me the entire menu is gluten free. We even asked what the bannock was made of and she said that she didn’t know because it was a secret recipe but once again assured me it was gluten free. I’m celiac so it is important for it to be gf. I felt weird so we stepped back and checked on the website where it said the bannock was in fact NOT gluten free. This could’ve ended up in a hospital trip if we had not double checked. Once we told the employee our finding she said “I’m new here, I don’t know, don’t take my word for it”. We then walked out. It’s okay not to know, but say that. And find out because allergies are a serious thing. Don’t assure someone when you really don’t know. Please train your staff further...

Holy cow.

Impressed. That's the best word to describe my feelings after visiting here.

We had one of their burgers, one of their pow-wow powerbowls, some of the sweet donut-style bannocks and a couple of the savoury bannocks.

Everything was incredible, the burger was fresh, tasty and delicious and same for the bowl. Don't even get me started about all the bannock treats too, I definitely ate more than I should've

In addition to having well-prepared and delicious food, the staff were all awesome, the gentleman working in the kitchen that day (Saturday Sept 21) was kind, polite and helpful and the same applies to all the gals at the front counter.

I'm definitely coming back here anytime I'm nearby.

Having grown up in the prairies and gone to many pow-wows around saskatoon, the bannock tasted just like someone's kokhum was sitting there preparing it all for us. I loved every bite.

And just in case anyone isn't already aware, Saskatoon berries are the best berry. They make great smoothies, amazing icing for donuts, jam and so...

I enjoy this place to eat the food is good but man their manager really needs to brush up on his skills with customers I had an automatic tip added to my bill something that I don't approve of I was not informed by the cashier that the tip was added to my bill they let me pay with my debit card without telling me expecting me to watch every screen on the debit machine and on the till and see it myself without warning. I complained to the manager about this all I wanted was the tip back there so I could have the right to leave a tip if I wanted to based on service and all he could do is make excuses for his employees and his computer system and then it took him over 20 minutes to figure out how to issue a refund sadly I will not patronize this restaurant any longer as a result of this horrible service they like to take your money but they don't like to refund it if...

June 2025.... Changing my review based on my most recent experience. I specifically asked for no egg, I even had the guy repeat it, twice (as it showed on the screen). He assured me that was just a tech issue but he'd tell the cook. Well, I get home to eat my sandwich (that I waited 10+ minutes for because they only had one cook and 4 orders before me) and it had egg but no cheese. And... The bacon was horrendous. As you can see from my old pic, they used to use real strip bacon (that was delicious). This peace of meat tasted like it just came off the pig. Literally an inedible sandwich. On a positive note, the day old bag of bannock I took home made some delicious sandwiches. Old/original post (2022?)... My mom had accidentally ordered my breakfast sandwich with no tomato AND no egg but I loved it. Bacon was delicious! Maple glaze bannock was my favourite.

Absolutely amazing! Their Bannock is so fluffy and soft, both styles are to die for. Covid measures are indeed in place and enforced 100%. They have organic coffee, which they sell instore, both bags and kurig style cups. I was beyond pleased with the service and kindness from the staff. My food came in a timely manner and was so outstanding. The only thing that bugs me and that is not traditional is that they sell booze here, our people have had very unfortunate struggles with that drug and it makes me sad to see it being served in this restaurant. But that is my personal opinion so it does not reflect in my star rating. 5 bright and beautiful stars, thank you so much for the amazing food and the wonderful coffee. Very disappointed. It's with great sadness that I'm writing a review like this. We're visiting the Okanagan so it's been years since I've eaten at a Kekuli. I was excited to show my daughter. We got two bannockwiches. They were NOT good. They were both soggy and slapped together with unappealing bulk-bought lettuce and meats. We ate a bit of them and gave the rest to our dogs who gave them an apprehensive sniff before accepting. On another suggestive note, a feature that would be nice is to give the option to choose fried or baked bannock, or to have the baked bannock toasted or pressed if that's the only bread choice. Unknowingly getting baked bannock was the icing on the disappointment cake. Let's see some pride, ppl!
