Car keys (Tell me I am not alone)

Several days ago as I left a meeting at a hotel, I desperately gave myself a personal pat down. I was looking for my keys. They were not in my pockets. A quick search in the meeting room revealed nothing.

Suddenly I realized I must have left them in the car. Frantically, I headed for the parking lot. My wife has scolded me many times for leaving the keys in the ignition. My theory is the ignition is the best place not to lose them. Her theory is that the car will be stolen. As I burst through the door of the hotel underground parking, I came to a terrifying conclusion.

Her theory was right. The parking lot was empty. I immediately called the police. I gave them my location, confessed that I had left my keys in the car, and that it had been stolen. Then I made the most difficult call of all.

"Honey," I stammered; (NOTE - always call her "honey" in times like these). "I left my keys in the car and it's been stolen."

There was a period of silence. I thought the call had been dropped, but then I heard her voice.

"Are you kidding me", she barked? "I dropped you off!"

Now it was my time to be silent. Embarrassed, I said,

“Well, come and get me then."

She retorted, "I will, as soon as I convince this cop I didn't steal your car."

Drive through order, Dave's single cheeseburger combo and had a coupon for the proper item and told them over the intercom I have a coupon for the combo for $6.09 (+ taxes). Get to the first window, provide coupon cashier says $7.54. I said that's too much, she's says taxes. I say I understand that but with the coupon that's still too much. Unfortunately she doesn't speak or understand English very well and just repeats "taxes, taxes" so I overpay, and get the food and drive off not to hold up the line anymore. My math shows 6.09 X 1.05 = $6.40. Why the hell even bother issuing coupons if they aren't honored or the staff can't figure it out. Not the first time having issues here. Really don't know why I bother going back. Wrangled in with savings just to be bent over again. Not going back nor...

The lady who took my order was quite rude and seemed annoyed by me ordering. Kitchen was very disorganized and seemed like there was a lot of arguing and confusion going on. I got two Dave's Singles and the buns was burnt on both. I asked for extra sauce and there was barely the normal amount. This is the only Wendy's I've ever been to that, "Aren't allowed to put mustard on the burgers." The lady seemed annoyed and said she would put packets in the bag for me. She didn't include any but they had some by the drink/napkin area you can take with you which I grabbed. Worst Wendy's experience I've had. Glad my regular...
