I'm not one to leave google reviews. This is hopefully my first and final time. Please do not come here. The food was good but I was shocked by what happened when I went to pay. I have attached the receipt (continue reading).

I went here today for lunch. I ordered at the counter. I was going to pay before ordering the food but the person behind the counter insisted I sit down and that I would pay later. Big mistake.

I had ordered one chicken kebab plate. I asked the guy behind that instead of two skewers that it comes with, I wanted a mix of 1 chicken kebab skewer and some chicken doner/shawarma.

After I finished my food. It was good. I went to pay and the total was $37... again for one plate (one chicken skewer and a handful of chicken doner).. he charged me an extra $12 on top of the cost of the plate for apparently no reason. When I asked the guy who took my order what the $12 was for he just kept yelling and repeating in broken French "douze dollars". He even wrote it down the number 12 on a random piece of paper assuming that would help me understand why he randomly charged me this amount. He didn't really speak good English or French so communicating was almost impossible. The waitresses seemed to speak English/French perfectly. I'm not sure if the guy was the owner. I don't know why he would be running the cash if he couldn't speak either language. That's besides the point.

After several minutes of this back and forth in front of all the customers in this small dining area, and not understanding anything from him, I paid the amount he wanted to charge and left. I had had a long day and was not in the mood to deal with this abject nonsense.

Very poor customer service nonetheless.

The ratings on this place are very high, but it fell short of my expectations. The staff are the best part, very friendly and efficient, though they did tell me it would only take 6 minutes to get my food and it ended up taking 10. 10 minutes is great, though! Really quick!

The food was not as good as I was expecting. I got a sandwich chicken doner and the portion was very generous, but the taste was not there. It was not as seasoned as I was expecting. My partner got a chicken wrap and they also felt like the food was just okay. Not amazing. I also didn't like their potatoes, just a bit too oily.

I really did not like the fact that the man making the sandwiches wasn't using gloves AND was also handling money. I watched him intently to see if he was going to wash his hands after touching money, and he did, but super quickly. Either he needs to wear gloves while handling food or wash his hands more often. I was a bit worried that my food would end up with hair in it, though thankfully I only found a hair on the outside...
