Super stoked for L'Avenue's new spot in Brossard.
We visited during the week, and surprisingly, it was nearly empty. This was unexpected, as the L'Avenue in Montreal is always lit, so we expected a vibe. Plenty of parking was available, and we anticipated quick service. However, this wasn't entirely the case.
We ordered a mix: Detox smoothie, double Classic Eggs with sausage and multigrain toast, Gym Dude, and Smoked Salmon Avocado.
Gym Dude was decent—organic egg whites, chicken, Swiss cheese, mushrooms, onion, spinach, peppers—but the salad was too salty.
Smoothie was bomb though, packed with spinach, mango, pineapple, coconut milk, OJ, ginger, and maple syrup.
Wifey loved the Smoked Salmon Avocado, but it wasn't my jam texture-wise.
Kids weren't feeling their eggs or hash browns; sausage was filling, though. They don’t have a separate kids menu.
Ended up packing all three Classic Eggs to-go. Also, weird they don't offer fruit sides—salad for breakfast? Each to their own, I guess.
Service was disappointing as well, with our order mixed up twice by the kitchen: first with the wrong smoothie and then with a third orders of the Classic Eggs instead of two. Despite apologies, no compensation was offered, which was disappointing given the nearly empty restaurant.
I understand they're newly opened and may still be adjusting, hence I'm giving them four stars but I'd wait 'til they sort things out before going back.
Edit:
Came back and it didn’t disappoint. Food was good. Service...
Read moreI recently checked out the new L’Avenue in Brossard and was really impressed. It had been a while since I’d been to one of their locations, and this one feels new, lively and very well run. It does seem like they’ve rebranded a bit, with some nice updates to their image and menu. Even though it was busy on a late Sunday morning, the service was great and everything moved smoothly. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.
We tried a few dishes and everything hit the spot.
Bobby Discovers Istanbul was unique and full of flavour. The chicken patties with poached eggs, feta, spicy cucumber salad and za’atar yogurt all came together beautifully.
Huevos Rancheros was another winner with scrambled eggs, black beans, guacamole and salsa wrapped in tortillas.
For something sweet, we shared the banana, strawberry, blueberry and nocciolata waffles. They were rich and satisfying, with a nice mix of fruit, chocolate hazelnut ganache and vanilla cream.
And the pistachio latte was honestly one of the highlights. Creamy, smooth and something a little different from your usual coffee options.
The portions were generous, the prices were fair and the vibe was great. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a solid...
Read moreThis restaurant truly exceeded my expectations in every way. The food quality was top-notch—fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and beautifully presented dishes. Every bite was delicious, and you can really tell the chefs take pride in their work. Whether it was the appetizers, main courses, or desserts, everything was absolutely satisfying.
The service was another highlight of the experience. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very attentive without being intrusive. They made excellent recommendations and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. It’s always nice to feel genuinely valued as a customer.
As for the prices, they were very reasonable considering the high quality of both food and service. Great value for money, especially compared to similar restaurants in the area.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place with excellent food, great service, and fair prices. It’s definitely a spot I’ll be returning to...
