Had a rather pleasant meal here with a couple of friends. Although the noise level was a bit high, the atmosphere was alright. They have a decent amount of options of soups to pick from and each of them sounds appetizing. The food is presented spectacularly but the taste is alright. Some choices of soups were lacking in flavours and some others were over salty. My favourite part is that you can ask for noodle refill. They use a soft type of rice noodles that has a nice feel and goes down the throat smoothly. For around 10$, you can most likely be sure you will be full (3 years ago).
For delivery, it was a bit of a mess. The soup was leaking a bit everywhere. I am not sure if the problem was their choice of containers or if it was the delivery person being a bit too rough with the food. The soup however was rich and creamy, it gave the noodles great flavours. I also like the abundant amount of toppings which add to the flavours and textures of the dish. The noodles were in my opinion a bit overcooked though. It ruined a bit of the texture aspect of the dish but the overall was still decent. The prices have certainly gone up by a considerable amount, around 15$-20$ for a bowl now and the portions remain around the same (1 year ago).
My latest visit was a disappointing experience. I understand that they were quite busy especially since there was only 2 of them and the restaurant was almost full. Still, it took close to 30 minutes before we managed to get a waitress' attention to order and it took approximately another 30 minutes before we got our food. Plus, we didn't receive any cups of water for the whole hour we were at the restaurant. The food was still good. The soup has good flavours and my favourite part is that we can have as much noodle as we want. So even though it is around 15$ for a bowl, we get to any so much food until we are...
Read moreThe broth tastes good and the noodles too. Toppings are a bit lacking if you don't add anything but it doesn't cost much more to add beef balls or shrimps that makes your experience even better. The noodles and broth are pretty cheap alone anyway. Extra noodles are free if you eat there (1$ for takeout in the pandemic).
The fried chicken and fried chicken wings are a really good appetizer or you can use them as toppings to complement your noodles.
If you can't eat spicy, AVOID the spicy soups like the plague, I tried the thai curry one which only had one pepper next to it and I was drinking water the whole meal, to the point I no longer bothered waiting for the waitress to refill my water and did it myself. They should give a pitcher of water if most of their soup is spicy, I would have tried others if I had a pitcher of water to refill myself.
Only issue I have is that they have stuff on the poster only which are time limited and it's all in Chinese and I didn't know I could order until I saw a customer with chicken wings not on the menu but on the posters. That was like half a year after my...
Read moreFood is ok Service is extremely bad, no greeting, no explanation of the menu, food was placed on the table toughly, the stone bowl is extremely hot and they put it over my baby’s head before putting it down on the table. During our meal, we weren’t asked if everything is ok, the waitress just came to take the empty tray when our chopsticks are on the tray, we had to remove it for her and she was just waiting for us to do it. Moreover, tips is forced to give more even though I told them I wasnt happy with the service, they didnt say sorry or anything but just waiting for me to give more tips. Tips is not mandatory anywhere, it goes with the service, when a customer undertip you, please ask yourself why...
