Service: The staff here, are all so kind and sweet. Every single one of them are truly amazing, and offer excellent service. I've never had any complaints about anyone. I absolutely love when they attempt latte art for me, when I get a latte for here. I did go on a Friday one afternoon, and they were all out of "for here" latte mugs, which honestly was disappointing because I like to enjoy and relax in the cafe with a for here mug, so unfortunately and very disappointedly I had to get a take out cup which doesn't feel the same. It of course tastes the same, but I personally am not the type of person that enjoys drinking coffee from cafes on the go.
Food: While I haven't had any food besides bakery goods such as tarts and cookies, I can confirm in my opinion that their bakery goods are quite great. My favourite is their Peanut Butter cookies, they are a great size and taste amazing. The coffee is usually top quality. There has been one instance where my latte tasted a bit burnt, but that was a one off, and I never had a burnt latte before. So they were likely calibrating everything properly still. I love flavoured lattes, but the Hazelnut latte is way too sweet, even for someone like me who has a sweet tooth, to the point I'd rather have a regular unsweetened/sugarless latte instead. They do take some time to finish making your order, but that's to be expected as it's not like a Tim Hortons, and they make sure everything is made correctly at a good pace.
Atmosphere: They have plenty of seating options, and you should be able to find seating whether that's indoors or outdoors at any time of the day (unsure about weekends). They have seating for two people, seating for four, or even a big round table for several people to sit together. They also have multiple power outlets, so if you're the type of person who likes to plug their laptop in and work away at a cafe, you can do that with ease at this location. The seating is comfortable, and the place is kept very clean with staff rotating around at a good pace to make sure tables are clean and the floor is swept, so you feel comfortable and at home. Friday's seem to be quite busy even as early as 12 PM at noon, and only gets more busy as you approach the evening. I have never been on a Saturday, but I assume it's much more busy than a Friday.
TLDR Service: 11/10 It's just great and I have no complaints here. Food: 7.5/10 Regular lattes and cappuccinos taste great, as well as baked goods. But there is a chance your espresso drink such as latte and capps could be burnt, and drinks such as Hazelnut latte tend to be too sweet. Atmosphere: 9/10 Plenty of seating, great for doing homework or related work, hanging out with friends or family, and...
Read moreI'm a regular. With a lovely staff of caring, interesting people Coffee Culture Cafe & Eatery at 515 Lakeshore Rd E. fulfils the ideal coffee consumption/ study space experience. I cannot recommend this specific location enough. As a design student who frequents coffee shops all around the GTA the folks over at 515 Lakeshore Rd E. Coffee Culture Cafe & Eatery go above and beyond, they provide an abundance of seating arrangements with an overwhelmingly clean space overall, they're constantly on their feet serving customer needs. The staff are very human, from the handful of conversations I've had with them they have expressed interest in my work, day-to-day, and shared themselves, and their experiences, with me. Management should be proud. I am gluten-free (not by choice) and where they don't have a wide variety of food options for me they have accommodated to my allergy where they can, and have even taken steps to interest me in their limited dietary options. I always leave feeling much fuller than when I enter. Thank you folks for filling my interactions with diverse conversation, my time with a safe, comfortable space, and my table with lots and lots of great eats/ drinks.
There are a handful of employee's who really stick out. To those of you who know, you know. Thank you for existing and providing such a welcome dining experience. If you haven't heard it enough, I'd like to express that here :)
Y'all are amazing and I am forever grateful for the experience(s) - thank you for fueling my caffeine intake...
Read moreI'm very fond of this place - but it definitely has its flaws. The selection of lunch items is not exactly great, and there are very few selections outside the typical soups and sandwich fare you find at most coffee shops. Not bad - but nothing to write home about.
The real issue here is the service. The lines are often very long - especially during ok hours, and the staff are not able to deal with customers quickly or efficiently. You can stand in a 5 person line for 25 minutes without being served. However, the location itself is very nice, with plenty of comfortable seating. It can be very crowded and difficult to find a seat - but it's quiet, the wifi is good, and there are plenty of outlets. There's also a good selection of sweets, drinks (warm and cold) and pastries - and those items are consistently excellent. I really enjoy coming here to study, and it's definitely one of the better study cafes in this area - but it's...
