Edited after reviewing your response: LOOOOOL why are you stretching the truth to save face.
The fact that you work at a location that sells alcohol yet lack the ability to defuse or deescalate a situation is deeply disappointing. It’s clear that you did not handle the situation to the best of your abilities, have you done so, I promise you that all this would have been avoided. We had ZERO issues with anyone until your "manager" magically appeared only to kick us out.
Yes, you were called names, no games were damaged(proof was ever provided nor the damaged explained), and the beer was left upside down at a standing table towards the front of the establishment, the pool tables are towards the back bar you silly goose. You don't even know the layout nor have correct recollection of events.
Additionally, I will be contacting your General Manager and stopping by this week. I sincerely hope you can provide proof of the games we supposedly broke and the beer allegedly spilled on the pool table. I would assume this is a simple request, as it should align with the same video evidence shared with the police.
Furthermore, thank you for further proving my point that you’re approaching this situation with the mindset of a child. Instead of seeking an amicable resolution and taking accountability for your mistakes—as we are—you continue to lie and shift blame while claiming you did your job to the best of your ability.
And finally, since you didn’t deny the 65+ calls we received, I can only assume that was your way of “getting back at us.” Well done—I hope it was worth it. I look forward to seeing the proof this week!
Original review: An Unbelievably Appalling Experience at Gametime Social, Burlington
My visit to Gametime Social was nothing short of a nightmare. I was abruptly cut off from being served alcohol after an accidental beer spill. Instead of engaging in a respectful, two-way conversation to address the situation, I was met with an unprofessional, dismissive attitude. Without any explanation or courtesy, I was simply informed that I was cut off—a shocking lack of communication and basic respect.
The situation escalated further later in the evening when we were kicked-out by the so-called "manager." His behavior was nothing short of embarrassing. Displaying a level of immaturity that resembled a child hiding behind their parents, he outright refused to engage in any constructive dialogue or problem-solving. His unprofessional demeanor and dismissive attitude were appalling and left a lasting negative impression.
To make matters worse, multiple employees later admitted to us that “there always seems to be an issue” with this particular manager. If the staff themselves openly acknowledge this, it raises a critical question: how can customers possibly be expected to respect or trust this establishment's leadership?
But the most outrageous part of this experience occurred after we left. Between 2:15 AM and 3:00 AM, we received over 65 phone calls from Gametime Social, followed by several more between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM the next morning. To make matters even worse, while most of these calls were made with a private number, a couple of calls were made with the caller’s number visible, identifying them as someone from the establishment.
Regardless of what transpired earlier in the evening, this level of harassment is utterly unacceptable. Such behavior reflects a shocking lack of professionalism, decency, and respect for personal boundaries.
Gametime Social has a long way to go when it comes to professionalism, accountability, and customer service. From the unprofessional management to the harassment via incessant calls, it’s evident this establishment prioritizes ego and immaturity over customer care and respect.
Save yourself the frustration—take your business to a place that values and respects its patrons. Gametime Social is a disgrace to customer service and a poor reflection of what...
Read moreMy visit to Gametime Social was an unsettling experience that went far beyond poor customer service. After a disagreement with staff, our group was abruptly cut off from service and dismissed without any clear explanation or opportunity for discussion. However, what followed after we left was far more alarming.
Between 2:15 AM and 3:00 AM, we received over 65 phone calls from the establishment, followed by additional calls the next morning between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. While most of these calls were made from private numbers, a few were not, clearly identifying the caller as someone from Gametime Social. This behavior constitutes harassment, a serious breach of professional conduct, and a potential violation of privacy and harassment laws.
Such actions are not only unacceptable but may also have legal consequences. Repeated, unsolicited phone calls intended to intimidate, annoy, or disturb are a form of harassment that reflects a shocking disregard for boundaries, professionalism, and customer rights.
Adding to this, staff members confided in us that there are ongoing issues with the manager involved in this incident. If employees themselves acknowledge problematic behavior, it raises critical concerns about the leadership and accountability at Gametime Social.
This establishment’s actions were not just unprofessional—they crossed a line into unethical and potentially unlawful territory. Customers have the right to be treated with respect and dignity, and harassment of this nature is a blatant violation of those principles.
For anyone considering visiting Gametime Social, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This experience has left me questioning the safety, professionalism, and integrity of this business.
Management should take immediate action to address these serious concerns, both to protect their patrons and to ensure they are operating within the boundaries of the law.
Response:
It’s important to clarify that nothing racist was said during the incident. Referring to someone as “brown,” when it’s a factual description, is not inherently racist.
Additionally, no threats were made at any point during the interaction. However, your actions following the incident—calling nonstop for two days—crossed a line into legitimate harassment. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable.
Instead of escalating the situation further, I suggest reflecting on how to handle customer concerns in a more constructive and respectful way in the future. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected, and harassment is never...
Read moreBased on requests from my girls volleyball team, we booked our Christmas family get-together, a group of 25-30. While our waitress was great, they only provided one person to look after our group, although she had help bringing out the food.
While the decor was great, a cross between a sports bar and an adult Chucky-Cheese, the food was very disappointing. The pictures matched the great presentation and it looks like they started with good ingredients. However, the portion size paled in comparison to the higher end pricing for anything on the menu.
More importantly, every (and I mean EVERY) dish lacked seasoning. While I know some people have salt restrictions and appreciate more lightly salted dishes, these were tasteless. From the fries, the battered fish, burgers, to the salads, everyone in our party thought the same. You need to add salt right after you take out fried food and before you cook a meat, make a sauce, or at least during cooking so melds with the variety of flavours being presented. Expecting the customer to add that much seasoning after receiving a dish doesn't give it a chance to melt into the food. Otherwise, the salty flavor all you taste. (see Cooking & Frying 101😉)
In particular, I had already eaten some snacks earlier so I had the Tex-mex Bowl for $21. It sounded great reading the ingredients: shredded chipotle chicken, black bean rice, pico de gallo, roasted corn, guacamole, iceberg lettuce, jalapeño, cotija cheese, & lime sour cream. I've had similar dishes where it's presented in a large edible Taco Bowl, where the price would have been more acceptable. While I should have asked, it was extremely disappointing to see it presented on a small, side-salad-sized ceramic bowl (although it looked exceptionally hand painted). I still expected to enjoy the dish as the presentation of the ingredients looked as good as they sounded when reading feom the menu - boy I was wrong. I ate 2/3 rds of the small dish but was tired of just tasting the salt I added as none of the ingredients you would expect to add some seasoning did (like the pico de gallo, guacamole, or lime crema - all bland). Even some pickled jalapeno peppers would have been a good start.
We bought 2 of the game packages for the girls to share and it seemed everyone enjoyed their desserts.
Unless I'm just meeting up with friends for a drink or dessert, or maybe to entertain some relatives to some cool partner action/ video games, I likely...
