Golden Harvest Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in Burlington

I order "take out" from Golden Harvest a couple times a month - everything I have had so far has been fresh and tasty.. the hot and sour soup is excellent, the chicken balls and other run-of-of-the-mill options are all fine. I ordered some "tangerine sauce" on the side to pour over my rice (from the Tangerine Beef), it was excellent, I will be ordering the Tangerine Beef next time - and it was easy to order sauce on the side unlike other restaurants who have no idea what you are talking about to get a bit of sauce on the side... My orders are small, and are generally ready in 10 minutes weekdays, and 20 min on weekend dinners.. I find the service to be very good.. I have never had to wait longer to pick up my order and the lady is smiling and friendly. Portions are big and I think the prices are very fair for what you get. I have seen some adverse reviews on here about Golden Harvest, and this prompted me to write my very first restaurant review ever because my experience here has been good or excellent...

The dry ribs were so salty could not eat them and does “dry” not mean zero sauce? cause the order I received certainly wasn’t dry. the pad thai w jumbo shrimp was so spicy could barely eat the shrimp, never mind the noodles… ugh

Responding to owner’s response to my review You are quick to chastise any reviewer who says anything negative, yet you never take responsibility. To my negative review you dismissed my opinion by suggesting that my taste buds are the problem and not your unique seasoning. The issue I have with that is, well I’ve had both dishes many times in many cities and countries… and my taste buds have never been so assaulted… a pal just left but before he did I asked Mark, to taste the dishes, he did and said exactly what I said… so caveat emptor at least Uber Eats has given me a 20% discount on my next order, which definitely won’t be from...

Terrible. I chose the pad Thai (non spicy) and it arrived at my door sauced spicy (suicide wing spicy). I can handle a little kick/bite to my food, I put Frank's on everything but in this case the pad Thai was RUINED. I then called to complain in the hopes of picking up a new one (non spicy) and instantly got attitude from the lady on the phone without even asking which order I was or anything. I am so appalled by this that this is the first time I've left a review on a restaurant in the hopes I can help someone or even drive the restaurant management to change their customer service techniques. Anyways I'm stuck with a pad Thai (heavy amount) that I cannot bear to eat let alone touch my tongue. I need tips on how to turn down the spice so it's not wasted. Darn you Golden harvest.
