Sorry but this was the worst Chinese food we think we've ever had. The chicken balls were not pure meat. When you bite into them, yes there is a lot of breading (most places have a lot, which I expect) but it's not solid meat in the middle. It's ground chicken (I think), so it falls apart.. I took it apart with my fork and it was very strange, crumbly. My whole family noticed it. But it makes for tender chicken balls, but they definitely tasted strange / fake. The General Tao chicken was not spicy at all, and soggy. The lo mein noodles dish was good, but not warm. The spring rolls were soggy also. Placed a dinner order online for pick up. 2x Panda Combo for 1 (General Tao + Shrimp with Mixed Veg) egg roll on the side + wonton soup. Order was ready within 30 minutes and all the food was PHENOMENAL!!! Portions were very generous- enough for a dinner and lunch the next day! Partner said wonton soup was delicious and actually had flavour unlike most restaurants. Mixed veggies (in the shrimp) were tender-crisp and not soggy! Plus they had a good variety- broccoli, cauliflower, sweet pepper, onion, zucchini, carrots, mushrooms- you can tell this wasn’t a frozen mixed bag! Phenomenal spot for Chinese takeout! This was by far the best Chinese food I've eaten in the Burlington-Oakville area, and it was super affordable! The owners are very sweet, and clearly are passionate about their food and their business. The location is clean and brightly lit, even if the exterior looks a bit unfortunate, and the food is served with a high degree of care and love. They include lots of vegetables in the dishes -- which is so nice to see. So many restaurants just serve meat and sauce, so it was really nice to get some real flavours and a properly rounded meal.
