We went for an after work early dinner last week. I arrived at 4:20 and my 2 coworkers had already ordered their beverages. After looking on the table for the happy hour food & beverage menu, I asked the waitress if she can bring us a HH menu so we can take a look. She looked at her watch and stood there looking at us, saying under her breath something about how it was getting late. We reassured her we have plenty of time to order and would be quick to order. She returned with the HH menu and said that she had gotten confused with the time, as she generally works the after 6:00 p.m. shift and doesn't "have to worry about that". She informed my friend who had ordered a beer that she would change the pricing to reflect HH menu. Food: We all ordered the same thing - the Kung Pao Bowl and we each added chicken. I was looking forward to it because I have eaten at the TJ @ Mapleview and the food (and service) were both excellent. We all agreed it was very bland and very watery (photo's attached) and that it seemed like the garlic ginger soy sauce was not added to the dish, or very sparingly added. We asked for more sauce and it was brought out to us about 10-12 mins later. Again our waitress seemed annoyed with us for asking for more sauce. I also requested more noodles as I barely had any and with it being so watery I thought at least some more noodles would make it a little more enjoyable to eat. We were all quite hungry and had eaten most of our bowl by the time the extra sauce was delivered. This was definitely not a properly prepared Kung Pao bowl which any simple simple Google images search will show. The sauce did make a difference but didn't help the fact that it was so watery. Overall, it was unfortunately a very disappointing experience and I would be inclined to visit the Mapleview location in future.

I'm a regular at Turtle Jack's. My daughter and I are big fans. Last night (Nov 28th) we attended this location. My 8oz steak was cooked perfectly. The bernaise sauce was ok but I'm not sure I'd get it again. My daughter ordered the kids pasta with meatballs and immediately knew something was off. She mentioned it to the server who said to her knowledge the meatballs hadn't changed. She came back shortly after and confirmed they were using a substitute meatball due to a shortage. I tried them. They were putrid. Hard as a rock and tasteless. With the price of kid's meals creeping higher and higher serving meatballs like that is unacceptable. So to sum up. Perfectly cooked steak. Good pasta. Great ambience. Good service. Disgusting meatballs ic EDIT- The truth is in the hospitality industry, somethings mistakes happen. It's not what went wrong that determines whether or not I'll go back to a restaurant, it's how the restaurant attempts to make it right. The response from Turtle Jack's management was profusely apologetic. If you go to Turtle Jacks and have a bad meal ( it's rare- I'm there often) they will make it right. My favourite items are : 3 cheese dip Big Wing Sandwich Chicken fingers tossed in the extreme NY Butter sauce or my go to- The French Onion Burger. Things I wish they still had: Bruschetta with garlic aioli Hunter's Chicken

Very disappointed at the way I was treated here last night. I have never left a review on google before but after the service I received yesterday, I had to make time to come here and write this.

After a long day of work, I decided to stop by to pick up some food. Upon arrival, I sat at the bar where there were about 4 people working. Not one single server came to even greet me or offer me a menu even though they all saw me sitting there. I had to walk across the bar to get the attention of a server who was clearly not happy to assist me. She then quickly rushed me by saying "what can I get you" while we're both standing in the middle of the restaurant and once again, never even offered a menu or apologized for not greeting me. I then told her what I wanted to order and sat at the bar. The server never rang in my order until about 10 mins after I reminded her. About 30 mins went by mind you I only ordered chicken wings and I noticed another server brought my order out to the counter at the bar and left it there without letting the other server know my food was ready! I sat and waited for about 15 mins before being so frustrated and chasing the server across the bar once again to check on my food! The server never apologized, my chicken wings were not even hot by the time I got it! she went to the bar and brought back my bill and never even cared to ask if I was paying cash or debit and simply left the bill at the bar and walked away to serve another table!!!! Never even asked if I needed change! I feel disgusted at the way I was treated as I was once a server and would NEVER deliver such horrible service to anybody. I love Turtle Jacks but I will never visit this location again. I'm very disappointed as I was very polite and calm about the situation even though I was treated like a nobody. I kindly ask management to train these servers on how to deliver good customer service as they're clearly not happy to be working here, at least...

A little bit of a disaster. Made a reservation for 15 five days in advance. Agreed to take an earlier time slot (6:30pm) due to another group that was booked at 7:30pm (group of 50). Not an issue. Had individuals driving from over an hour away. When a few of our group showed up at 6:30pm they claimed to not have a reservation, I got on the phone (since I booked it) and on the phone they apologized and said they were making room for us now. It was 8pm before we were seated. We waited and hour and a half outside in the cold while they continued to seat other larger groups. There was nothing done to fix the situation, a female manager just said she would be comping some desert for the table. Once we were finally seated, and understandably starving, no sever came to the table for 10 minutes, when she did show up she was visibly stressed and seemed very new. Mid order, she said, "Sorry, I'm going to take this other tables order first then come back to you". We were flabbergasted as we had already been waiting quite sometime. She came back and attempted to take our drink order. At this point, I asked to see a manager again. A gentleman came round this time, I explained that already this is rocky and we likely need a second server or someone more experience who can answer bar/menu questions. He was pleasant, and they did assign a new sever, which I might add, was wonderful. When the original server came back with drinks, she spilled water all over one of our party members (table and pants) thankfully it was only water. From there our second server took our app and main order, unfortunately did not specify that the apps should come first, and everything came at the same time. It was 9:20pm before our food arrived. The manager comped 5 free deserts, which was nice, but at the same time, more should have been done given the huge mistake they made. In future, we will take our gatherings to a different restaurant, as this one is...
