A&W Canada — Restaurant in Burnaby

I got a Kid's Pack and a Teen Burger meal. Several things went wrong with this order. I definitely won't be coming here again.

I asked the cashier if the Root Beer had caffeine and he positively said no. He was going to fill the cup, but luckily he asked his manager at the back and he said it DID have caffeine.

The wait was fairly long, which was ok. But my meal was missing: a) a granola bar from the kid's pack, b) napkins, and c) ketchup. B) and c) are typical items. How can they forget these things? I've also heard other customers complain that they didn't get napkins either.

The Kid's Pack is advertised with apple slices. I was never asked whether I wanted apples or fries so I would assume that it would come with apples, which is what I wanted. Of course the meal came with fries. When I asked, the manager says that they don't order the apples because they "have to order 99 packages of apples and only one package will be used". So they never order the apples. Ok, sure, it doesn't make financial sense, but you have to mention that when someone makes an order. Also, bring it up to A&W to offer smaller quantities of apples!! If it's advertised with apples, you have to make it available!!

The Teen Burger bun was cold. It felt like it came out of the fridge. The entire burger felt cold.

This woman shouldn't be allowed to work in customer service. She served customers behind me even though I told her I was waiting for my coffee for a long time. A while later I asked again and the other woman realized they forgot about my coffee and tried to give me the coffee that was already sitting in the back for a long time. I refused it and asked for fresh one and she kept ignoring me and trying to give it anyways. I had to reject her many times for a fresh one, and i finally got it. When I opened it to put cream, it was already added. When I ordered the coffee, I clearly asked het to give me a black coffee with cream on the side so I could control the amount amount of cream in the coffee. I was not happy about the whole situation, so I gave back the coffee and asked for a refund. The worker in the photo very rudely slammed the coins on the counter instead of just placing it in my hand I asked her if she would apologize, and she said no I asked her for her name, and she refused to tell me. Went to order a root beer and it took forever. You would think its pretty easy to make single order for root beer. Also please note there was not line and was not busy. The female staff came out of the back and took my order. After she took the order she processed to make a hot chocolate, slowly. Took her about 2 mins to make this hot chocolate. During the process of making this hot chocolate she went into the back for unknown reasons. I believe it was to get instructions on how to put the powder and hot water into the cup correctly. After she finished making the hot chocolate she took the drink to the back and came out shortly after. She came out and was ready to take another order. At this point I have been standing there for a while waiting for my root beer. The customers that ordered behind me from another cashier has already got their two teen burger meals and left.
