Dairy Queen (Treat) — Local services in Burnaby

I'd give zero if I could. Was at the play area across the way with my 4 kids the other day. After they were done they were thirsty, and I looked up and saw the DQ Orange Julius sign, so walked across and talked to a young girl about getting them some healthier alternatives to just juice. I looked at the menu for a few seconds and tried to order them a few healthier juice options. The girl was about to ring it up when the manager Ivan walked by and said something to her in another language, all of a sudden she said her machines "are broken" and I could only get the variety of pre-made juices in their ice box. It was clear that with 15 minutes remaining before closing their lazy manager didn't care to fire up the juicer for customers. I'm sure the manager would like to know that Ivan is a lazy kid. Will not be going there ever again, even though I'm literally at that mall about 3-4x a week, especially on rainey days and have bought juices there in the past....

I give them 5 stars for customer service, but 3 stars for the cake. I ordered an oreo blizzard ice cream cake for my son's birthday. They tried their best to make my design and even called the day before to clarify details to ensure that I'd be satisfied with the design. It was amazingly beautiful, even better than my expectations. However, when the cake was cut, it collapsed/ caved in because the centre was hollow. It became a mess since it was hard to keep each slice intact. I tried my best to scoop up and distribute the messy pieces into the plates. The crunchy cookie layer and caramel sauce in the middle wasn't fresh but too dry and hard. We were extremely disappointed with the cake and my son didn't even eat his birthday cake even though he loves DQ ice cream and chose this himself. Oreo blizzards and dipped cones are his favorites. After this experience, we will not order DQ ice cream...

Husband bought in ice cream cake for a family birthday. When we went to cut into it, it smelled off so we tasted the icing and it was off. Brought it back the next day and it turned out the freezers weren’t working properly. We were given a credit for a new cake in the future. Ordered a new cake weeks later for daughter’s birthday. Took it home (less than 5 minutes) in a cooler bag and put directly in freezer. Sang and brought out cake, went to cut it and it was SOUP inside.

I had walked past this location numerous times while in the mall and had noticed the freezers leaking on a few occasions. Obviously an ongoing issue. Not going to be purchasing any more cakes from...
