The food was good and the atmosphere wasn’t bad either. I had a meal here today around 5 PM. While most of the staff were friendly and polite, it’s unfortunate that one person’s rudeness overshadowed the kindness of everyone else.
I asked a female server—with long brown hair and heavy makeup—for the bill. Since I was using a corporate card, I requested two receipts. She seemed unfamiliar with what that meant, so I explained it to her.
Without saying a single word, she turned around and asked another staff member, then handed me the receipts.
She didn’t say anything, didn’t smile—just handed me the papers and stood there, staring at me.
I was so taken aback by her attitude. I wanted to quietly speak to the manager, but since there were other customers waiting, I decided to just leave.
Her expressionless face and the way she stared at me without a word was incredibly uncomfortable. I’ve never encountered a server with such a lack of basic courtesy. It was honestly shocking.
It’s really disappointing because the rest of the staff were so kind and welcoming, but one person truly ruined...
Read moreI've never been a huge fan of katsu due to its typically tough meat and thick breading. However, Saku completely exceeded my expectations.
Their chicken katsu curry practically melted in my mouth, thanks to the tender chicken and light breading. Paired with their savory curry sauce, the dish was deliciously addictive. My only suggestion would be to increase the initial serving of rice. Although the rice, salad, and miso soup are bottomless, having such a tiny amount of rice with such a large amount of curry sauce was somewhat overstimulating. I also found the absence of alcohol surprising for such an upscale-looking restaurant, though it didn’t detract from my overall satisfying experience. The servers were exceptional. Despite our table being tucked away in the back and obstructed by a wall, they consistently made an effort to check on us. The interior design was particularly appealing, harmonizing beautifully with the overall vibe of the SOLO District architecture.
I highly recommend this place, but be sure to reserve in advance as it can...
Read moreHad a wonderful experience dining at Saku Brentwood. The food was delicious, service was attentive and the warm modern ambience with plenty of natural lighting was welcoming. Food: Chicken breast curry Katsu - tender and juicy chicken breast meat served over rice. Complemented with soup, salad pickles. Curry sauce came in a pourable vessel which was perfect for enjoying at your own pace and format.
The special udon with fish roe and prawn was fresh and creamy. This is a rich dish on its own so suggest othering it as a shareable item.
The mixed platter was also well enjoyed with its assortment of pork, seafood, cheese and potato.
Our servers were quick to refill waters and check in on us throughout the meal for top ups for salad, soup and rice.
Pay parking is available out front, in the complex and along the side streets.
There are no reservations so it’s first come first serve. However you can put your name on the virtual waitlist in advance of arrival to save some waiting time.
Overall a fantastic experience. Thank you...
