SUSHI BOX — Restaurant in Burnaby

First time trying, we ordered the Deluxe sushi combo, Gozilla roll, Unagi roll and BC roll via delivery on Dash We been trying lots of sushi via delivery around the area, and it’s put us in a real crave for fresh seafood, cause majority tasted like food court sushi quality, but this place seem to have finally satisfied our craving!

Taste 1/1* One of the freshest seafood I’ve had since moving to Vancouver, one that’s outside of DT anyways. Deluxe sushi combo really hit the spot, fresh, good variety with all 10 pieces being different, and nicely plated. The Gozilla roll, amazing! It’s like having a Dynamite roll, which’s already good as is, with 3 fresh scallop on top, mmmm~ BC roll, not our fav, too dry and unbalanced, also overall the rice was on the more vinegar side

Value 1/1* Prices may be slightly higher, but for the freshness, well worth it!

Presentation 1/1* Delivered well, presentation on point, always appreciate being able to eat with eyes first They arranged largest to smallest containers bottom up, allowing easy carry and less likelihood of tipping over 👍

We love this place. We live around the area and would usually pick up. Yesterday we decided to dine in with our kids. The food is always good, good portions and affordable. Quick service too. They have ikea kid’s plate for kids which is a nice touch for me.

I took away 2 star for the service because of the server. Once we paid, her demeanour changed. I assume she expected a bigger tip for a $50 meal. How did I say that? My son is used to say “thank you for our food” to whoever made it for us - as we do too.

My son went to the server and said “thank you for our food” not only once but 3 times but she didn’t react at all…continued whatever she was doing with her straight face. We have good days and bad days and we understand that. So we went to the chef on the counter and said this. He’s the one we should be thankful for anyway…for filling up our tummy. To whoever is in the kitchen, thank you for your passion.

With this experience, even though we were the only ones dining in at 5.30pm on a Thursday- we might just pick up food in the future and not dine in.

Parking is plenty. Food is well priced and smaller portion which means you can try their other menu items. Must try chicken teriyaki, tender & delicious - our...

This is a relatively new place. I only had a dynamite roll just to sample the food and unfortunately the rice seemed to just fall apart (not very sticky) when attempting to eat the segments. From my experience the rice in the sushi rolls should be sticky to the point of being the element that binds/holds the whole deal together making the handling of it relatively easy.....instead, each segment just fell apart because the rice was not very sticky making it necessary to eat the whole mess with a fork and spoon. That said, the flavour was good and the ingredients seemed fresh as they claim. I got the impression the crew were young and maybe need to sharpen their rice making technique a little cuz I believe there is a knack to making good sushi rice. I would have given four stars based on the small sample size but for the non-sticky rice.

When I think about it, the roll segments seemed to be cut thinner than I'm used to seeing at other places....so that might have something to do with them falling apart so...
