Did a pretty decent size order from here the other night. We did take out from this restaurant. Once we brought it back to the hotel there was a pretty major component missing in out order. It wasn't any rolls but it there was no Soy Sauce! How do you miss soy sauce?? I called back and there no we will get someone to bring it out. It was just come back. Easy if it was not that far away. Anyways poor customer service in my opinion. I guess note to self always look over a take out order and make sure there is nothing missing.
The sushi was not very good. We ordered the Maki Tray C (98 pcs). Majority of the tray is cook for your information. The smoked salmon did not taste fresh. Tasted like it was a week old. The spicy salmon roll in the tray was just basically drenched in hot sauce. Instead of having the salmon drenched In it the entire outer roll was. Most of the rolls were very saucy just over powered the sushi.
We also ordered The Tobiko Hotate Oshi and the Wild Salmon Sushi. It had too much pepper it just over powered everything. All I could taste was black pepper.
The Salad was very good. They dressing was well balanced and was pretty much the only thing that was done right. Aside from the Edamame and Chicken Karaage which was decent.
I would not order from here again. Yes the soy sauce miss was a big deal for me. Like not sure if they were being cheap but note to the restaurant if you are taking out there is a chance your customer is not from here. So just give every take order soy sauce. But overall the sushi quality in my opinion is not anywhere near Vancouvers level. There are tons of other Sushi places out there. Its not like its the only...
Read moreUpdate: Tried beef bulgogi for the first time and it was amazing! One of the best dishes I’ve ever had in this restaurant. Since I usually don’t eat sugar, especially in food, it wad a little bit sweet for my taste, but still delicious. They were so generous with the meat that I couldn’t finish the rice on the side. That usually doesn’t happen!
We also got edamame. My recommendation is that don’t get it :)) ——————————

I ordered beef udon this time. If I want to describe it, I’d say it’s a downgrade compared to ramen or pho. I liked the broth but didn’t like the rest. The chewy noodles, boiled vegetables, and boiled sliced meat are not my things I guess:)). It wasn’t bad quality-wise, it was just not my favorite.

We got veggie combo and the chicken and rice plate. I ate the avocado roll from the veggie plate and it was not my favorite.
The other dish was fried chicken coated with sweet chilli sauce (or something with similar taste). The chicken pieces were crispy in the outside and juicy in the inside. It was delicious and the portions were huge but I don’t recommend it to people who don’t like sweet dishes.

Everything was superb. We got a customized double yam tempura roll with a Godzilla roll. Both were delicious. And the staff where kind and...
Read moreWe gave this place a second chance but they truly didn't deserve it. 1st time we ordered takeout for pickup and they said wonderful thank you, took my name and number and told me it would be ready in 30 minutes.
Got there 30 minutes on the dot and they tried to tell me I called the wrong location because they had no record of my order. I recognized the servers voice and showed her my call history with their locations number and they then agreed to take my order again. Waited another half hour in the shop and then left.
We assumed this was a one off mistake, after all it's crazy times and things get busy and so we tried them again today.
Called, placed order, was told thank you we will see you in 20 minutes. Sent my partner to pick it up and they insisted that I had requested it be ready for 40 minutes after I called to order. Insisted we were wrong and then the server made fun of my partner's speech impediment.
Food was okay at best, nothing to write home about but the service being insistent that the guests are wrong and being blatantly ableist is why I am never ordering...
