I usually don't like to leave one star reviews, especially during these times, but I wanted to share our experience, as it was definitely one to remember and not in a good way. We visited for my Dad's birthday and were looking forward to trying the fresh, homemade pasta everyone seemed to be raving about online, as all of the posted photos looked amazing. The reason for the one star is not because of the lovely trendy but cozy ambiance, or the really ingenious washroom waiting notification system(!), but because service was EXTREMELY slow (on a Wednesday night). Our party of 6 waited 2 hours for our mains (with a larger party of 10 who got seated and ordered an hour after us only waiting about 20 minutes between appetizers and mains), with no explanation as to why, despite not all of the tables being occupied. We were also told at arrival that we had to vacate our table after 1 hour for another party (so we rushed to order and eat our appetizers), only to get moved to another table mid way, but again with no explanation as to why (our original table was vacant the entire time). It was only after our party wanted to leave that our mains finally showed up (horrible timing), and most of the pasta dishes were not hot and dry (and my Dad's veal was soggy and chewy). The wait staff and only chef that night eventually came to apologize and explain that they took on too many reservations even though they knew they were understaffed, but by then our experience was ruined. We unfortunately will not be returning, but if you still want to try this place based on the majority of good reviews, we only suggest checking how busy it is beforehand to hopefully avoid the same...

My friends and I came here one evening as we had been waiting to try this new spot in the neighbourhood. There is parking in the back and what appears to be a patio section too (of course, weather pending). I thought it was a smaller restaurant but when you walk inside there is quite a lot of seating which is nice. There was only one other table inside for dinner time when we went and two servers. Between the four of us we had ordered meatballs and a pasta each but it left us feeling unsatisfied food wise for the price point and slightly bothered by the customer service as it seemed like they were adamant to rush us out (we were there at 6 and nowhere near closing time). The meatballs felt pricey at $18 and nothing overly special. The pastas overall range $18 (cacio e pepe) to $28 (linguini di mare) but felt like a higher price point for no particularly special deliverance. Ordered the caserecce, papardelle, linguini, and calamarata - we all tried parts of each other’s dishes and still felt soso for our meal. The severs kept checking in on us (food is fine but it wasn’t enough to send anything back by any means) but it was to the point of “can I bring the check” and scoot us out over and over. We had not overstayed our time either (definitely within dining time of 1.5 hours and again - not busy). Maybe it was just an off night but it didn’t leave us with a...

Me and my girlfriend live super close to this location! It’s a pricey hidden gem but a decent one! They are obviously known for their pasta but me and my girlfriend had not too much of an appetite. We got the bread which was our first dissapointment. It tasted amazing but at first they didn’t bring the oil or balsamic and the bread was very tiny with 4 pieces. The beef carpaccio was absolutely delicious but same bread again and had to obviously ask for more to finish the carpaccio. The service was knowledgeable in products however we felt almost forced to keep getting more when we just wanted to relax and be able to enjoy a taste of a local restaurant in our neighbour. Wine menu is limited, overall at the end we got pursuaded and soul shared dessert perfectly which actually influenced us to stay and try their most delicious banana split which I hope never leaves the menu because me and my girlfriend said we are specifically coming back for it. It’s $15 for the dessert which is a bit on the higher side but so tasty! Overall the experience was a 4/5. I work at a higher end restaurant and feel that there’s always room for second chances and improvement. Don’t be fooled by this review it’s still a very nice hidden gem and me and my girlfriend will most...

We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we didn’t feel particularly welcome. The hostess/waitress came across as rushed and not very friendly, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. Service felt transactional and a bit cold throughout the evening. I wanted the spaghetti vongole, but was told the clams had run out, so I went with the paccheri pistacchio instead. We also tried the pizza twist, it had a nice crisp to it, but was overly salty, and the tomato sauce was not giving, mid. The main course took another 20–30 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, the paccheri was undercooked and unpleasantly chewy, and the sausage came in large, tough chunks. The white sauce didn’t come together well, super rich but not flavourful. Overall, the dish was tiring to get through. Very small portion, still felt hungry after. The whole experience lack engagement cuz we weren’t checked on, offered dessert, or even asked how our meal was. Given all this, it’s unlikely we’ll return.
