Parking lot at the back! Great space for large groups and 100% I’ll be back. Great service, great food! They have a patio but not currently open yet! Deal for AAA ribeye until July 30,2024 $38!! For 14 oz. The texture of the pasta is just magnificent. It was our first time and Eva was our server- she was amazing in making our experience comfortable and suggested great dishes and always ready to refill our glasses right on time! HIGHLY recommend the Maltagliati La Forchetta (I know it says pistachio and many people may not be used to that) but it is so good. Pappardelle is good too, wish just bit more sausage that’s just personal preference. The ribeye was dripping with its juices, each piece was even cut for us already in good bite sized pieces. Nice sear on the outside. Great deal! Wish we had more room for dessert! Will have to try another time. A gem to find in Burnaby!

My friends and I came here one evening as we had been waiting to try this new spot in the neighbourhood. There is parking in the back and what appears to be a patio section too (of course, weather pending). I thought it was a smaller restaurant but when you walk inside there is quite a lot of seating which is nice. There was only one other table inside for dinner time when we went and two servers. Between the four of us we had ordered meatballs and a pasta each but it left us feeling unsatisfied food wise for the price point and slightly bothered by the customer service as it seemed like they were adamant to rush us out (we were there at 6 and nowhere near closing time). The meatballs felt pricey at $18 and nothing overly special. The pastas overall range $18 (cacio e pepe) to $28 (linguini di mare) but felt like a higher price point for no particularly special deliverance. Ordered the caserecce, papardelle, linguini, and calamarata - we all tried parts of each other’s dishes and still felt soso for our meal. The severs kept checking in on us (food is fine but it wasn’t enough to send anything back by any means) but it was to the point of “can I bring the check” and scoot us out over and over. We had not overstayed our time either (definitely within dining time of 1.5 hours and again - not busy). Maybe it was just an off night but it didn’t leave us with a happy memory.

What a great, unassuming restaurant in North Burnaby! I'm so glad this place exists. Everything was seasoned beautifully and the ingredients tasted really fresh. To start, we had a caprese salad. Fresh juicy tomatoes and nice tender mozzarella. We had the crab linguine and the pizza with arugula and prosciutto. Both entrees were seasoned super well. Generous amounts of crab in the pasta and the sauce was so so yummy. Pizza was good, the crust was a touch dry for my liking but the toppings were delicious. The pizza was heavily topped, we had to mop up the leftover arugula. It was so good. Not pictured is the tiramisu, which was super light yet strongly coffee flavored. Very well balanced. The restaurant has great ambiance, lots of natural lighting, and comfortable seating. We had a server who was prompt and to the point which we appreciated. I can't wait to be back.

Went with a large group to try out La Forchetta. They make their own pasta. Entrees aren't cheap; pastas are $25.50 to $28.00, pizzas $18.00 to 25.00. No lunch specials offered. - Bread ($4.00/basket) - they'll ask if you want bread but don't mention the price. - Calamari ($22.00) - not worth the price tag. - Bruschette miste ($15.00) - mortadella was the best piece but such a tiny portion. - 2x Pallotte cacio e uovo ($14.00) - was told the egg and cheese balls were salty. - Paccheri pistacchio ($28.00) - pasta was al dente and the sauce well balanced. Plenty of Italian sausage. - Prosciutto e rucola ($25.00) - nothing particularly memorable about their pizza. - Tiramisu ($12.00) - light and creamy. Only detected the smallest hint of marsala wine. Skip the appetizers and stick with the pasta.

Wonderful evening, delicious food, can't ask for more. Two of us shared Meatballs appetizer and Pappardelle in spicy Sausage, mushrooms and Rose sauce. Then we had as Secondi: Salsiccia Alla Griglia (Grilled Italian sausages) Scallopin (Chicken sautéed in lemon) We liked that there was a good portion of vegetables served. For dessert, we had to try Tiramisu. We really enjoyed it. The truth, would have loved a tiny more liquor in it. Happy to say we both enjoyed every dish. And will return for sure. Great service. Plates and utensils were changed for the next dish we shared. The monitor at the back showed a video, some pretty scenes of Venice, which is lovely to catch if you haven't been there, or great to remind you of good times if you have visited before. Thank you La Forchetta!!

Went with a table of three and was able to share three plates comfortably with an appetizer and desserts to share. service was excellent throughout the meal and there was no wait for a table since we made reservations ahead of time. they had a parking lot but it was full so we parked on the nearby uphill street. The gnocchi was my favorite. cooked and seasoned perfectly. we also enjoyed the pizza and pasta we selected. Crust on the pizza was traditional crust with a nice crunch to the crust. Kitchen was closed so there was no view to the cooking. I wasn't a fan of the dessert size but it was still enjoyable for the quantity you get. overall good pick with parking nearby. we spent a bit of cash for a good quality experience.
