A relatively new establishment in the neighbourhood. Visited in the early Saturday evening and it was pretty busy already. Wanted to try here since reviews were all so positive. Overall experience was okay. The table placement was a bit odd, there were two of us and another table for two were sitting literally only 10 inches away from our table. There was a service station right behind my back too so from time to time servers were even passing plates over my head š. First time being here, our server didnāt introduce to us whatās special just passed the menu and left. Upon checking daily special sashimi posted on the wall 15 pieces for $45 ... itās much more expensive than ones in the menu, I asked the server, she said daily special sashimi are more premium fish like ikura and other stuff. š I think it would really help customers to understand the value if we know what ās considered premium fish. Like if fish imported from japan? Limited wild fish or organic fish? Ikura is just salmon roe. At least make up something to make customer feel itās premium. š Overall sushi rolls were actually pretty good but many other places are not bad too and cheaper. Yakisoba fried noodle was tasteless. There was no sauce at all and itās pretty dry. Pretty single dimensional taste with minimal flavour. There was another bigger party around us celebrating a birthday, and the kid from the group was running around in the already limited restaurant place while servers were serving dishes or cleaning tables but no one said anything. I was more worried about the kid than eating my food. Food was okay, decor was good but table placement definitely has room for improvement. Service really needs an upgrade. Servers need to ask more than āis everything okay?ā And better at...

If youāre a sushi lover looking for top-tier quality, thoughtful presentation, and standout flavours, this is the place. Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious.
What we had:
Premium Nigiri Platter (Selected by me) - Every piece was a standout. The buttery scallop, melt-in-your-mouth toro, and glistening salmon roe were fresh and full of flavour. The seared white fish had a subtle smokiness that was perfectly balanced.
Wagyu Nigiri with Quail Egg + Tamago ā Incredibly decadent! The rich wagyu paired with the creamy quail egg yolk was divine. The tamago was lightly sweet with a delicious torch-seared finish.
Salmon Don ā Thick, glistening slices of fresh salmon over seasoned rice with a touch of citrus. Clean, fresh, and satisfying.
Soft Shell Crab Salad ā Crispy crab topped with fresh cucumber, avocado, and sesame seeds. Refreshing and well balanced, especially with the spicy mayo dipping sauce.
Sushi Set ā Spicy rolls with just the right amount of heat and crunch. Nigiri selection included amaebi, scallop, and salmon belly, all incredibly fresh and flavourful.
Karaage ā Crispy, juicy, and not overly greasy. One of the best karaages Iāve had. The spicy mayo was the perfect pairing.
Shoyu Ramen ā Light, clean broth with perfectly chewy noodles. A great balance to the sushi heavy meal.
Deluxe Roll Platter ā A great variety of rolls with spicy tuna, scallop, and salmon. Loved the tobiko and sesame toppings for extra texture and flavour.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. You can tell the chefs take pride in their work, the quality and care in each dish speaks for itself.
Highly recommend. Iāll...

I always meant to come by here but whenever I have time, itās either closed that day or I am too late.
Finally managed to sneak away myself for a last minute date with Takara to see what sheās all about.
This place is located on the south side of Canada Way close to Boundary Road. I managed to find free street parking in front. Inside can be described as a small little cozy place with about 10 tables and a 1/2 dozen seats along the bar.
The little meal I ordered for myself;
Small hot sake. Just the generic one Soft shell crab. Personally, a little bit too much batter and the batter was a bit too elasticity to my liking. Oyster motoyaki. Basic straight to the point the way I like it sometimes; fresh oysters nicely baked thoroughly on their shells, caramelized little crust on top, and on a little bed of sliced mushrooms and spinaches. Loved it!! Assorted sashimi. Everything was decently fresh but considering they were smaller bite size portion, a better chefās choice wouldāve been nicer for $35. Tuna toro, ikura, uni, tamago nigiris. Everything was decently fresh and tasty.
Overall, pretty much a straightforward little cozy Japanese restaurant. The food was fresh and tasted okay for what they were, but always room for improvements.
The staffs and servers were friendly and informative of the food being served. Itās a nice little cozy place to enjoy a bit of casual sushi if you are in the area. However, if you are looking for money value with generous portions then I suggest somewhere else such as Sushi Garden or Sushi California, etcā¦
A repeat for me whenever I crave for some oyster mototaki or uniā¦...
