I normally always opt for Thai Express as my go-to fast food option and was pretty stoked to see it here since I hate mall food. However, this chain is very much below standard compared the rest of the Thai Express locations I have ever been to. We got the Pad See Ew ผัดซีอิ๊ว which had about three veggies, random pieces of uncooked Tofu, noodles were super congealed and barely cooked and the plate was reaping with way too much oil and a total mop fest. The spring roll was God awful, super mushy and had zero flavor.. id label it gross at best. This has changed my perception on this chain for sure and I would hesitate and make a different decision from now on, even though I love Thai food.

Have always liked their fried rice. The box has always been packed, at least before covid. Anyways, first time having it since covid started and it looks like it has gone down hill a bit. After opening the boxes there was at least an inch less in one of the boxes, also the one you pay more for of course (shrimp). Well, onto the other box which was made by a different person and wok and that one was burned. They get some stars back though because of service as they made both boxes again even after having eaten a bit of the under filled box. Checking other reviews lately it looks like there are some issues going on. Hope they work on them as the food used to be great.

Be careful with what you are about to order, I ordered a beef dish and this is what I got. Are you able to tell it is beef? It is beef slices wrapped with flour and deep fired. It is 95% flour. When I told them that this is different from the photo menu. She said photos in the menu are just photos, I was speechless. I had to eat it as I paid $13.52 for it. They also force to pay tips. Basically in order to pay with your credit card, you have to press that greasy machine three times before you can actually pay. The first question is how much tips you want to pay ? Think about how many times the same button you have to press have been pressed every day?

I wanted to order today's item from the discovery menu but the lady at the till entered in General Thai Ghost instead. When I corrected her that I wanted the discovery menu, she said I could only order from the main menu. I inquired how come because the discovery menu has been rotating amongst other promotions on the LCD screens. She neglected my question and only gestured to the main menu. I pointed out again the discovery menu when it appeared on the LCD screens. The till lady remained like a stone and the chef nearest her came forward and said I could only order from the main menu. Once again, I asked why? Both of them became like stones and then ignored me to take the order of the person behind me. Not only is this very rude, but it is unprofessional. If a menu item is sold out, just say so. I would have understood and moved on. The fact that the staff could not even address my question looks like they don't know how to do their job or they have poor English communication skills. Either way, this reflects poorly on the management of Thai Express. I picked up my dinner at Chipotle instead. In the near future, such rude, incompetent and unprofessional service makes me think twice before coming back to this...

Inconsistent Pad Thai quality. I frequent Thai Express and the Coquitlam and Richmond locations do not have this problem.

This location needs new cooks and/or have their skills reassessed.

This was the second time my Pad Thai order was made incorrectly. There was spice, but there was no sauce that causes the noodle to turn into the dark brown color.

I looked at the chef and asked, you've added all the sauces right? He replied, Yes! Spicy right? Wrong. The appearance and flavor was incorrect. There was the taste of the wok, and the spice from the chilli's. That is all.

Unacceptable.

Update : Still garbage, except there's 'wok hey' from the cooking and the beef doesn't taste the same. Cheaper cut that is not marinated or soft in...

I’ve been a fan of this place for many years but last time I had my usual order (shrimp pad thai), it tasted horribly burnt like they charred something on the grill before cooking my order. That put me off for maybe a year before I took a chance on it again today. Ordered my usual and it didn’t taste burnt this time. Instead, it tasted like they melted something plastic on the grill right before they cooked my order

This is a serious health concern and I will definitely steer clear of this place from now on. Paying $15 for this isn’t worth it even if they didn’t poison your food but now, you’d just be throwing your money into the garbage

For the PR person who wants to investigate this, my order was #17-0001 at 11:34am on...
