It's alright. Typical pizza store that uses cheap ingredients like many pizza stores in the lower mainland. I have no problem with the pizza but do with the service. I get the impression they are self-centred and don't seem to care about its customers especially recently when I was there. Because of the worry of virus transmission, they told me to wait outside for my order. That is understandable but calling me back in to get my order was not only an inefficient system but I could barely hear them calling me from outside. Plus, I am a paying customer and I wouldn't have to go back and forth to the counter. They should really think about a reasonable system to get the order to the customers. Minimal contact is fine and understandable but maybe they could have a policy to leave the pizza by a table outside similar to what Dominos does. Since the food is not all that exceptional, this place would always be my last choice. I don't live in the area nor is it the closest pizza store from my home so there is no need for me to order anything from there. I'm sure they are losing business over SFU on-campus classes being cancelled so it is not the time to treat customers with the same level of respect they have always have. Even without the light of recent events, it is always courteous for a business to treat customers with respect and not do something that is only convenient for them since they are being paid to provide...
Read moreI loved coming here for a cheap, but delicious lunch, but after what I witnessed today, I will think twice about going here ever again.
If you haven't been here before, they have pizza slices for display that they heat up for you for a drop-in meal. There's this glass plate that the pizzas are kept behind and I watched the cashier spray window cleaner at the glass WITH THE PIZZAS UNDER THE SPRAY STREAM. Drops of window cleaner were falling down onto the pizzas that were about to be eaten by hungry students during the lunch rush. The cashier was even oblivious to what she was doing. I couldn't believe my eyes, but my girlfriend was also in horror as the cashier just wiped down the display glass like nothing. The worst part of this is that there was no reason for her to even clean the window at this time; it wasn't even dirty at all and she could've waited until the end of the lunch rush to move the pizzas aside and then clean the glass. It just leaves me to question how the place got their safety license.
Also, barring the fact that the pizza's secret ingredient is blue window cleaner, the tables are rarely clean and usually have a fair amount of pizza crumbs/grease on it.
Don't get me wrong - the pizza is definitely good and it's probably one of the cheapest meal you can get on campus, but there's a large price to pay when it comes to rolling to dice to see whether or not your pizza has window...
Read moreWe’ve probably ordered from here about 10 times. The staff at Uncle Fatih’s SFU are friendly, and the pick up times are accurate, however the pizza leaves some to be desired. Consistently, we’ll find the toppings don’t cover the whole pizza and the cheese is a bit on the light side. This leads to some slices that are literally half dough, which is pretty sad for whomever gets the slice.
Some of our favourite pizzas are the Garlic Chicken pizza and Ricotta Cheese pizza. When picking up we like to add garlic sauce all over the pizza and it really adds to the flavour.
I’m hoping either staff or management can take note and make improvements to their pizza. Until then it’s 3 stars for the food and 4 stars...
