Diamond Alumni Centre — Local services in Burnaby

I can't say enough good things about Vivian and the Diamond Alumni Centre! The DAC was the first and only venue we looked at for our wedding. The price was really good for anyone who is an SFU alumni, and we knew the gorgeous space with all those windows and wood beams would be perfect. We booked it right away. From start to finish, Vivian was a saint. She answered every question I had really quickly, and even sent extra documents and information to better help us understand how everything was going to work. She sent us an estimate as to how much the total would be for the day, and the final invoice was almost identical, which was extremely helpful and eliminated a lot of stress from our budgeting. She clearly takes a lot of pride in her work, as she should, because she's really good at it! Everything worked out perfectly. The venue is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the staff are all incredibly friendly. I hosted a winter formal dance event here on a Friday. The views of the mountains here are stunning during the day time. They already had Christmas decorations set up, and the event space itself is so nice that we barely needed any decor (we just purchased a pointsetta as a centre piece for each table). We didn't order much food because we were on a tight budget, but all the food we ordered was excellent. The taco station and chocolate fountain were our favourites. I just had the pleasure of visiting this centre for my cousin's wedding. What an amazing venue! The perfect size for a small/medium sized wedding, the building is classy without feeling overdone. The wedding was held downstairs and the reception upstairs, which was nice that we didnt have to switch venues. There was a gorgeous view from the back deck overlooking the burrard inlet.
