Wendy's — Restaurant in Burnaby

If I could give less stars I would. The closing staff at this location is awful! I recently started working night shift in the area and take my lunch break about an hour or two before Wendy’s closes. Sadly 3 of my last 4 visits had me leaving empty handed and also wasting my break. The first time this happened this week when I arrived at the window I noticed 2 members of staff stand in the kitchen eating French fries when they noticed me another staff member finally came to the window to tell me they could not serve me because they were closed, when I pointed out that according to google and the signage on the building that they were still open for another hour or more, she looked at me annoyed and said well if you want something we can only take cash because there debit/credit machine was broken (obviously they had closed out the debit/credit machine early) as I only had debit or credit I left empty handed. I also had a similar experience 2 more times this week at the same location and the one time that they did serve me the fries were cold but looked like they had been in the fryer all day. Don’t advertise that you are open till a specific time if your staff is going to start shutting everything down and closing out the till and hour or two early. But with the service I’ve received from the staff at this location I’m sure the same thing would happen regardless of the time you decide to close. I would also be willing to bet that the staff is not clocking themselves out...

We were driving on Kingsway past 9pm on 31st of July. My wife and I hoping to find a dairy queen for an ice-cream. I was too lazy to stop and search on my phone, instead drove hoping to see one. After seeing this Wendy's, gave up and settled for frosty. Went in, there were 4 people in front of me. One had a large order of 6-7 burger I think. I don't own a restaurant and am not a server but have been in too many places to know they weren't doing things efficiently. Despite of seeing how bad and slow everything was, but my stubbornness and desire for a cold frosty was much stronger. After about 20-25 min (I'm not exaggerating) was my turn (meanwhile one person ahead of me had gave up and left, also couple of people who came after me left as well without ordering). I asked for 2 large frosty and the girl said, we're out of frosty. There was one paper or sign mentioning they didn't have frosty (the bright sign on top still showing frosty option). We drove to Dairy Queen in Coquitlam in front of Ikea, but it was closed, so we went to a Wendy's minutes away and...

Stopped for vanilla frosty. Surprised how thick it was. Definitely need to eat with spoon. Fast service and clean washrooms. Came again and got $4 cheeseburger. Service slow but burger good and freshly made. Lots of seating. Came again and had krabby burger. Service faster. Burger was great with fresh veggies. Came again and had small chili. About $3. Very fast service this time. Came with two packages crackers. Very filling but bit spicy for me. Got some water to wash down. Came again and had baconator. Nice and juicy but lacked flavour. Came again and had chicken. Now that was the bomb. Crispy and flavourful. Came again and enjoyed lemonade. Came again and got $8 combo of burger, drink, fries. Now this burger real tasty. Came again for large chili and small frosty. Chili nice and hot. Frosty thick and creamy. Came again for $8 combo with coupon. Fries nice and crispy. Single burger ok. Came again and enjoyed small chili and crackers for $3. Seems their staff are conscientious and hygienic. Came again today and enjoyed chicken nuggets. Came again and enjoyed double stacker burger. Another visit for 6 chicken nuggets. Came again for...
