Atlantis Fish & Chip — Restaurant in Caledon

Edited 05/12/23: The business is under new ownership. We ordered Haddock and Chip dinners and they were delicious. The fries are better than they were before, and plenteous. Nice portion of fresh, tasty Haddock in a light, crispy batter. All garnishments included, minus a roll (I'm pretty sure there were rolls involved before?) Coleslaw was refreshing and dressed perfectly. STILL worth the small hike around that silly fence!

The food itself is quite good... but you basically have to scale a chain-link fence to get to the place. Or park in The Second Worst Parking Lot In Bolton, on the other side of the plaza, and then hike to get to the door. I mean, you don't exactly have to be Edmund Hillary or Tenzing Norgay to get to the door, but that durned fence is really...

Wonderful little place, with a much larger menu than you'd expect from a fish n chips place. Steak and curry dishes stand out to me as totally unexpected (but welcome) surprises. I ordered the steak, and was impressed by the portion size, price and quality. Very friendly and welcoming owners. VERY generous portions of fries on the side. Prices rival the cheapest fast food, with much better quality. No limitation for menu availability, steak for breakfast or breakfast for dinner are both available. I had eaten the first fillet already and couldn’t stop, had write a review this is honestly some of the best fish chips I’ve had. Fish is crispy on the outside tender on the inside not oily at all, chips are pretty good too. Loved the curry sauce is almost like a “South Indian “ inspired curry sauce but such a wholesome taste absolutely loved it so fresh ! Would definitely come back here ! Coleslaw also really fresh.
