Visited for the first time today , to start of with i gotta say the food was amazing but the service is extremely terrible. Rudest waitress on earth that i have came across till. i came in just by myself as soon as the waitress show me she had that why you here face and somehow gave me a menu and glass of water thank god. the food got served with another server( black shirt blue jeans) she was the rudest server i have ever seen literally threw my food into the table and no words and just left. consider this was quiet day and there wasn't many customers in the restaurant. while i saw her bussing other tables with such pleasure face. so all these time am having the food nobody comes to check on or even to fill the water even if you would die of thirst. so somehow i finished my food and wanted to order something else but the waitress both wouldn't even bother looking into my table. while i was paying for the food i just asked the server about this and she casually replied ohh we are just busy (6 people including me) if you want to something more just come to the till and order it. i said thank you and left. Again to the girl who worked in black shirt and blue jeans , please kindly note that we are not there for your free food , at there is a machine you hand us starting of with a number for tips. so if you could kindly keep...
Read moreGlad to see something else here as Mimosa was a disaster. Now, Pho Time is better than Mimosa, but nothing to write home about. There are pho spots that you can drive across the city to get their food. Pho Time is not one of these. It may work for a quick fix if it is close to your home, but nothing more. In my opinion their issue is with the broth (we are talking about Pho here, no reason to discuss about bbq pork on vermicelli). It is too sterile. Also, the very same broth is used for everything. Although the base broth is decent and it is not msg tainted too much (I haven't been thirsty afterwards) its still not enough to have only one broth across the board. You want pho?: that's the broth. You want satay pho? just add a table spoon of satay sauce. You want peanut satay pho?add another tablespoon of peanut sauce. Man, you have to stay a bit on top of this. I can do the very same at home with a $3.00 satay sauce and peanut butter jar. The satay peanut pho is pathetic . Common'... Just add some anise to your broth, some lemon grass, a bit of peanut butter, boil these together for 5 minutes, do something, we can see from the cooking shows that opening a bag or a jar and toss it on the plate is not doing the cut. I will give them another try down on the road, I hope they will improve as there is some...
Read moreI went in for their House Special Beef Noodle Soup. The soup was good though the person at the cashier was politely asking me to pay for my food when I was not even done with my food. So I have told her that I will pay once I am done with my soup and so she left me alone. After a few minutes she came back to ask me how I would like to pay for the soup. Though she was polite but it is a Bad Practice to ask for your customer to pay their food when they are still working with their food. So I told her that it seems she does not want me to stay and then so I paid for the soup and left. Most people would want to enjoy their food and get done with them before going to the Cashier to pay for the food. Not to mention a Fly that was flying around in the Dining Area at that time was already a downer for a restaurant like that. I will never go back at this restaurant ever again, even this would be the only Pho Restaurant left in Calgary, I will not Dine-in here. For this Bad Practice I am giving...
