I recently visited La Diperie at Marda Loop in Calgary and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.
As for the ice cream itself, it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the "Pistachio Belgian white chocolate" flavor, which was a perfect blend of sweetness and flavor. It was rich and creamy, and the pistachios pieces on top really took it to the next level.
In addition to the delicious ice cream, La Diperie also has a wide variety of toppings to choose from. I opted for Chocolate sprinkles and a drizzle of chocolate sauce, and it was the perfect finishing touch.
The cheesecake slice from the Cheesecake Factory, of course, was also a highlight. I opted for the "Red velvet" flavor and it was heavenly. The portion sizes were generous, and the overall value for money was excellent.
Overall, I would highly recommend La Diperie at Marda Loop in Calgary. The ice cream is top-notch, and the atmosphere and service are both excellent. If you're in the area and looking for a sweet treat, definitely give this...
Read moreThe immediate presentation of the place is overwhelming with both options (mini-donut, regular donut, ice cream, cake, cheesecake, etc.) and varieties (toppings, ice creams, types of donuts). If you like lots of options this is good, if you get decision paralysis it is just that -- paralyzing.
I tried their cookies and cream milkshake and their caramel drizzled mini-donuts. Both were underwhelming. The milkshake tasted mostly like milk and sugar. For the same price of milkshake I would rather go to Peter's Drive In. As for the donuts, I've had much higher quality mini-donut at a fair or amusement park. I can't speak for their ice cream. Altogether the products tasted sugary with low quality ingredients. (But if you're a sugar fiend, this place may do it for you!)
The service was fast and friendly, and I appreciate the late...
Read moreMy overall experience at La Diperie had been great! It was my first time going there today, and I got a regular ice cream dipped in oreo with biscoff cookie crumble on top on a regular cone. The place is small, but they had a good selection of desserts (not just ice cream). There were cakes, doughnuts, and waffles, among others. The only thing to keep in mind is that there aren't tables or seating except for the 2 benches in the store. This place is more suitable if you'll just come grab something to go, but this did not really impact our experience. The food and good customer service and cute interior made up for that. Will be...
