Been to this location few times before for lunch to dine in and usually took 15-20 minutes from walking in, ordering and food being served.
Got to this location a little after 12:15 for take out and there was 2 people in line, while the cashier was on the phone taking an order. The person right in front of me walked out after 5 minutes of me joining the line (not sure how long they had already been waiting). The first person in line was just waiting on a receipt. The cashier had acknowledged me and asked for a few minutes. In the meantime, they had picked up the phone and took an order as I was waiting to put in my order. I'm unsure if they prioritize taking phone orders over orders of customers in the restaurant, which seemed to be the case in my situation. My order was taken around 12:30, and was ready by 12:56. During this time there was only 1 group of less than 8 people, that were in the middle of being served or already eating by the time I had walked in to the restaurant.
It's understandable if it was a lunch rush, but the restaurant wasn't full and delivery drivers and pick ups were just queued up with me, the orders being picked up didn't look large but it was taking a while for everything to be coming out of the kitchen. When I got home, we had opted for a baked potato and the size of the potato for how long we waited was ridiculous. They will not provide a receipt unless asked for, which I thought was a little strange, as most places ask if you want the receipt at the bare minimum. To my surprise, by the time I got to my car, I found there were three separate $0.25 bag charges. The bylaw has been disbanded by the city for quite some time now, so I went back to confront the owner, and his response was extremely rude. He said it's up to business owners if they still want to charge for the bag and pretty much said suck it up. I said even if that was true, there is nowhere stated in your store that you were going to charge for that, it is a sneak tactic by unethical businesses to churn more money from customers. He said we charged you cause we packed the food into three bags. When I got home, there was only one bag...
Anyway, the food was really good, however extremely overpriced and portioned. I will not be coming back simply because I do not support businesses that try to pull a fast one on customers, taking advantage of customers during a time when every dollar matters. These people are so cheap they even have a sign to not refill your soda drinks more than once LOL.
This restaurant only survives cause it provides halal chicken, if Nandos provided halal chicken in Calgary as they do in Ontario, this business would have never survived all...

The food quantity has gone incredibly low to the point we spent more than $100 and it felt as if we only had a snack. They increased the price for everything and reduced the quantity of everything. I understand the economy we are currently in, and with inflation around I completely understand. Everywhere we go prices have increased but the quantity has stayed the same. I wouldn’t mind paying an extra few bucks for a good amount of food. There’s no point of going here and wasting your money. Save your time. The chicken is sooo small it’s literally a baby chicken and there’s barley any fries or salads. There’s barley any food to feed the family. We brought up our concerns to the supervisor and she striaght up said sorry I can’t help you. As a supervisor she could’ve helped us but she chose not too, instead she went back to the counter told her employees about us in Punjabi (thinking we don’t understand) and laughed at us.
