Calgary Indian Vegetarian Restaurant — Restaurant in Calgary

After hearing from friends about this place, me and my wife decided to visit this place today for lunch. I would be honest, atmosphere was really nice and peaceful. Now here comes the main business. We ordered three dishes. Corn chops, samosa chana chaat and chana kulcha. Corn chops were something new to try but when it came to chaat and chana kulcha, it was nothing but a DISSAPPOINTMENT. Since we were hungry we ordered 3 dishes between 2 of us. Samosa chana chaat we requested it to be spicy and there were not at all spices in it and in samosa chana chaat, there was only 1 samosa. I mean for 9$ one samosa and some chana with no flavour? I mean this is not done. Next, chana kulcha. Chana was just dry and same flavour as chaat, whereas we requested it to be spicy and only one kulcha with chana? I mean for 12$ ,you serve one kulcha and chana that was below average? Guys, work on your portioning size, i am living in calgary from past 6 years and have never seen restaurant that serves 1 samosa in chaat and 1 kulcha in chana kulcha for that price. I feel this place has a potential to grow as you are vegeterian restaurant which is rare in calgary but you guys need to work on food quality and...

So after listening about them we thought of giving their food a try. We ordered chowmin, paav bhaji and soy chaap tikka. Chowmin were way below average with way too much vinegar and oil. The oil was dripping in every bite. Paav bhaji, first of all I have tried paav bhaji at many different places and never seen cummin in paav bhaji . They had cumin in paav bhaji and that was burnt. Like what kind of chef you are if you can’t find a difference in burnt or brown/ cooked zeera/ cummin. I had my 14 months old son with me so my wife strictly told them please do not make it spicy and it was soo spicy and hot that my wife couldn’t even finish her first bite now the last thing was soya chaap tikka. It was not even properly cooked way over spiced and they put tomatoes and cucumber on a hot sizzling plate. I think the chef doesn’t even know the basic rule of sizzling plate. So, overall horrible experience. I hope they will improve themselves in the future. But I will not waste my money and time at this...

Terrible Experience – Completely Ruined Our Event

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this restaurant. We placed an order for food to serve 35 people for our child’s birthday party, a very special occasion for our family. However, to our shock and embarrassment, they only provided enough food for about 20 people!

This left us scrambling to find a solution mid-event, and we had to urgently order food from another restaurant to accommodate the remaining guests. It was an absolute nightmare and ruined the entire experience.

This level of negligence is unacceptable, especially for an event where you rely on a vendor to deliver as promised. What made it worse was the lack of accountability or apology from the restaurant.

I strongly advise against trusting this place for any important occasion. Their failure cost us both time and peace of mind, and it was an incredibly humiliating situation to face in front of our guests.
